NIGERIA can achieve greatness as one indivisible nation. The best way to accommodate every section of this country is to restructure the country, perhaps through mass referendum or the implementation of the popular and well articulated provisions of policies and procedures endorsed through a constitutional conference that promotes the wishes and aspirations of the people.
Against this backdrop, the clamour for the Biafra nation immediately after its leader, Nnamdi Kanu regained his freedom from incarceration suffered some set back when the Nigeria military launched 'Operation Python Dance 1'. Since then, various stakeholders, especially from the Southeast region have continued to voice out opinions and appeals to resolve the issue and chart the way forward.

The consciousness that Nigerian nation is an indivisible entity that could grow and flourish in unity despite the ethno religious differences has informed the position of the Igbo National Council (INC) through an appeal to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur the 'Operation Python withdraw his men from the Southeast region.

According to the INC, if this appeal is not adhere to within 21 days, the INC, will petition and sue the Nigeria Army and the Federal Government to the International Criminal Court( ICC), for genocide against the harmless people of the Southeast Nigeria.

This appeal became necessary following the alleged invasion of the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, barely 24 hours after it announced the of the second phase of Operation Python Dance 11 in the South-Eastern states.

Allegedly it was reported that the military personnel, who stormed Kanu's home with an armored vehicle were resisted by some members of the pro-Biafra group.
According to the spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, some IPOB members were alleged to be reportedly shot in the process and while about five youths were killed, about 30 were injured while Chibuike Paul Okeke Obinnna James Amadi, Valintin Azuka Ezego, Ikechukwu John Okoronkwo, Dike Victor and Stanley Ikenna among others escape from the invaders.

However, with the series of agitations and conflicts arising from different region of the federation, there have been diverse opinions on ways to. address these National issues and put the country on the right path.
Most opinion polls in some part of the Southeast region proffer that every section of Nigeria will fare better if we reverse to the old or modernized regional structure with attendant characteristics of a true federal arrangement. According to them, this will reduce the cries of marginalization across the country.

They argued that, with this proposed arrangement. the Igbos can rise to the highest ladder of the political terrain of the country when the central government is made less attractive. The various regions be allowed to develop at own pace with healthy developmental competitiveness with one another.

The regions can regulate effectively their religions activities and field their regional police. With this arrangement, the central government will concentrate on maintaining the exclusive list generally agreed to by all special reference to and external relations.

While in other climes, opinion prefer that, the issue of resource control should be in the list. While the federal government controls international - boundaries, regions should be allowed to control resources within their jurisdiction with the attendant royalties and necessary taxes remitted to the Central purse of the federal government.

However, I will submit that, while the Biafrans have legitimate rights to protest their obvious marginalization, just as of the country also cry of being marginalized in one way or the other, the solution does not lie in breaking into pieces, but of unity in diversity through consensual- restructuring.
