Why I Respect Buhari So Much – David Umahi by Limitednow: 10:15pm On Feb 01, 2019
A state governor elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed why he respects President Muhammadu Buhari so much despite belonging to different political parties.

David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi State said he has much respect for Mr Buhari because of the personal relationship he has with the president.

Mr Umahi who belongs to the PDP in the South East region is the only opposition governor said to have a close relationship with Buhari among others from the zone.

POLITICS TIMES recalls that even before the president, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), made his intention known, the governor had already declared to support the president should he decide to run in the presidential race slated for this month.

The governor at the time said as much as he deserves re-election, Buhari also deserves a second term in office.

Ahead of the president’s visit to the State, Umahi hinted the he will be recruiting 2,000 members of the PDP to help welcome Buhari to the state.

Speaking during a meeting with Atiku Abubakar, PDP presidential candidate, his campaign team, and members of the state traditional rulers council, the governor said people should not misinterpret his personal relationship with the president to mean APC will win the state during the presidential election.

“Ebonyi state is PDP. Ebonyi state has always been the strongest PDP state from day one,” Umahi said.

“We have come of age and our eyes are wide open and let me say sir that the president is my personal friend and it has nothing to do with politics, he is a sitting president and deserves my respect.

“That has nothing to do with politics. Let nobody bring that into politics of Ebonyi state,” he said.

Oga you are taking your respect too far, how come you were not seen around Buhari when he was in the opposition?

If I were to be Atiku, I will eat with a long spoon while dinning with you.

You can't meet a man with proven integrity and not respect him. You can only be cursed to respect a known thief called Atiku with known gangs like Sarakill, Fayole, Dinocrook etc

Atiku Abubakar:
"I am not going to enrich members of my family but my friends. Are my friends not entitled to be enriched? As long as there is no element of corruption there."

Atiku Abubakar:
"Certainly, Nigeria has a corruption problem. There is no doubt about that. In my view, corruption is the use of your privileged position to either enrich yourself, your relatives or even your friends. In other words, abuse of office."
http://saharareporters.com/2019/01/30/breaking-kadaria-ahmed-grills-atiku-his-corruption-record

Excerpt from My Watch - book by Olusegun Obasanjo who worked with Atiku in Aso Rock for 8 years
Olusegun Obasanjo:
"What I did not know, which came out glaringly later, was his parental background which was somewhat shadowy, his propensity to corruption, his tendency to disloyalty, his inability to say and stick to the truth all the time, a propensity for poor judgment, his belief and reliance on marabouts, his lack of transparency, his trust in money to buy his way out on all issues and his readiness to sacrifice morality, integrity, propriety truth and national interest for self and selfish interest."

wiseman, he is in eating from both sides and has strategically positioned himself to win no matter who eventually wins. Ebonyi is PDP 100%. Umahi knows that PMB loves propaganda and he is giing it to him to buy favour

What Umahi is doing is called political hedge betting; to reduce risk and guarantee profit.

The concept is based on placing bets on different outcomes (Atiku or Buhari victory), to create an outcome that returns a profit – winnings minus all stakes – regardless of whether the original bet wins or loses.

OK. Everyone respect him even as he also accord people respect like he did with Kadaria even when she was grilling the tired Buhari unlike Pdp hooligans who were throwing tantrums around.

Anyway, let's look at the projects carried out by Buhari's admnistration so far despite earning 60% less than the previous regime due to fall in the price of crude oil which has been at $50 per barrel for 4yrs under Apc, compared to the huge $105 we had for more than 5 yrs under Jonathan. These projects include:

Maro inland port in Niger.
Kaduna-Abuja Rail.
Lagos-Ibadan Rail.
Itakpe-Warri Rail.
Zik Maoseleum.
Enugu-Onitsha-Aba Road.
Lagos-Ibadan Express.
Payment of all Federal pensioners.
Low cost Fertilizer production.
Rice Mills.
Investing in Dangote's Refinery.
Several Bailout funds to governors.
Increase in our Foreign reserve from $26b to $43b.
Several Social policies such as Tradermoni, Npower etc.

Tell me any project completed by Pdp in 16years that beat 1/4 of the aforementioned projects despite Pdp earning 60% more.

Vote wisely, don't let some insane people drag you back to Egypt. Next level is the key.
