Assault On Miss Dada: UPN Calls For Arrest, Prosecution Of Friday Eluro by TonyeBarcanista(m): 7:51pm On Feb 09, 2019
The United Patriots of Nigeria group has demanded for the immediate prosecution of one Mr Friday Eluro, a prominent politician in Delta State, for ordering thugs to assault and strip a woman n*ked.

Eluro made headlines last week after ordering the attack on the mentally unstable lady. Below is a statement signed by Hon. Inioribo Tamunotonye, the national publicity secretary of the group, sent to PoliticsNGR;

"The attention of United Patriots of Nigeria has been drawn to video footage that showed a group of thugs, acting on orders of one dishonourable Friday Eluro, a Special Assistant on Pipeline Surveillance to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, publicly assaulting and dehumanising one Miss Dada, an indigene of Delta state. The unfortunate incident happened in September 2018 in Agbor, Delta state.

It is unfortunate that a public officer that is expected to live above board would descend lower than the lowest of lows to assault a helpless woman, strip her of her dignity and dehumanise her publicly without any iota of fear or shame.

Upon investigation of Mr Eluro, we found that he is a secondary school dropout, a disgraced former councillor and a man that is currently married to three women and has been in the business of assaulting members of his communities and others he comes in contact with. He is one who has been misusing his position and influence in government.

While we commend the decision of Governor Okowa to relive Mr Eluro of his duties as a special assistant, we also question the rationale behind Mr Eluro’s appointment in the first instance especially when his disgraceful antecedents is known by members of his community and Delta state at large.

We hereby express our condemnation of the action of Mr Eluro and his thugs and demand their immediate arrest and prosecution. We call on the Nigeria Police Force and Delta state government to immediately effect the arrest and prosecution of these persons so as to set precedent against irritant behaviours by public servants.

If he can assault a woman that is helpless in broad daylight and without shame, we can only imagine the endless torment his three wives would be passing through behind closed doors.

Conclusively, we wish to state that the minimum form of justice that members of the public seek is the arrest and prosecution of Mr Eluro and his thugs, and anything short of this shall be considered as coverup and miscarriage of justice and shall be resisted using every legal instrument available. The United Patriots of Nigeria shall follow up this case to ensure that justice is done as the action of Mr Eluro and his thugs is pathetic and sacrilegious especially when the victim, Miss Dada is suspected to be of unsound mind.”
