There's no place written in the Bible that prayers should be said with a candle. Just pray with faith in your heart to God.

Lighting candle has been time immemorial. It doesn't implicate any spiritual meaning but symbolise light of the gospel.

It becomes a topic because of the way CCC & C&S uses it.... When it is being used for special prayer just like some Pentecostal churches pray on handkerchief, anointing oil and water.

If one is a true Christian, and sees the Bible as his moral compass, that person is not suppose to pray using candle, it depicts idolatry .

Modernization has washed away so many things...I'm sure you would have preferred to see Jesus during His time or exist to witness the Altars,, sanctuaries,tabernacles, where He worshipped. Perhaps it would have looked more devilish to you. Just imagine how the ark of the covenant looked like and the instructions that came with it.

No one has asked you to pray with a candle but when you see it on the Altars, it has its own symbolism, just like the elements of the ark of the convenant.

First, there is the realm of life accessible only by Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit who is responsible for regeneration of every sinner who receives Christ at Salvation.

Part of that work of salvation is the opening of the eyes (not physical) and giving of sight to the (spiritually) blind.

So that's why you find those who hear and see the demonstration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and yet will not believe. That's why we intercede for them, that the blindness be destroyed. And I don't mean physical eyes.

Then, there is the realm of visions and revelations which every Christian should access. E.g. The revelation of Christ. You can only know the Lord by revelation. To know hIm is to know eternal life. And because He is the author of all things, he can reveal even more to you.

Then there are the prophetic gifts like the word of knowledge, visions, revelations etc accessible to God's people by the Holy Ghost.

So whatever you wanna call it: third eye, fourth eye', whichever one you choose... in Christ Jesus, eyes are Open!

NOTE: Whereas there is the general spirit realm in which anyone; mystics (Christian and non-Christian), witches, psychics and of course demons, can access and operate.

But there is a place in Christ to which you only have access by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the risen Lord. The only principle in operation there is the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. (Rom 8:2)

That place and the authority there is higher than any other, in heaven, on earth and under the earth. God himself has placed us his children there in Christ Jesus; far above all principality and power, whether physical, angelic or demonic (Eph 1:20-22).That is where we live and function from. Our authority is from there and our kingdom, greater than every other. Glory!
