if I wanted to download apps on play store it will show;download pending and after showing it,it will remain like that.

An app is either downloading or updating in the phone background.

Happens to me when my connection is slow, what works sometimes is that I go to my home screen without closing play store or stopping the download then I put the phone in airplane mode then turn on the network again, or just turn off and then turn on data connection.

Try it, it may work for you.

clear ur playstore app data in settings app

Is your phone android 8.1? happens alot to me. what I do is locate the playstore in the settings, then disable and reactivate it back. go to the playstore to download without any glitch
