Hello folks,
I'm a newbie to Joomla and my self-lessons had been going on smoothly until lately when i encountered some limitations with the built-in editor (TinyMCE). It's very limiting for me as i can't seem to add media files as flash plus not enough format options, and i was wondering if the problem has anything to do with my installation or Joomla version (1.5.20). I tried using another built-in editor called X-Standard Lite 2.0 but it's not even showing even after publishing. I need help with knowing what the problem is. Thanks.

Check ur installation properly. Follow the installtion process properly. Enable all that has to be enable and disable those that has to be enabled during the first step. And check whether the template is for joomla 1.5 and not for 1.0. If its for 1.0 enable the legacy plugin.
