Every election year, there are many people who don’t like either of the candidates nominated by the two major political parties.
And so, a familiar debate begins: Is a vote for a third party a principled stand — or wasteful naiveté? This year, party discord has swelled the numbers of dissatisfied citizens, and the debate is even louder than usual.

A) Buhari : there is presume integrity, honest and political will to implement necessary but unpopular policies i.e partial subsidy baning of rice importation, TSA etc but he is clueless, have not direction what so ever, appoint incompetent people to important office
B) Akitu : there are high chance he will appoint more competent people to important office, he already have direct and what he want to achieve i.e Nigerian being 100% capitalistic country however there are questions corruption,ethics, integrity because he hiding the fact that he used his positions to enrich himself and his friends and he will do it again, furthermore because he is more season politician than Buhari he will managed his relationship with the other two armed of govt better.

However i believe the reason you are in this mess is that everyone knows that either the APC or the PDP is going to win. Therefore, everyone thinks that our only two choices are to be clubbed on the head by APC or stabbed in the back by PDP . The funny thing about that is that it is indeed true, but it is true only because everyone believes that it is true. Our two-faced duopoly is inevitable only because everyone believes that it is inevitable. If everyone would simply stop believing that it was inevitable, then it would no longer be inevitable

I would suggest that the “lesser of two evils” is still evil. I would suggest that the lesser evil merely enables the greater evil. I would suggest that this “lesser of two evils” strategy is exactly what got us into this mess in the first place.
