I came across news of so many killings and disaster that took place Yesterday even after INEC assured us of safe and peaceful election. I won't want to bore you with rigmarole. But let's look at it in the other way round.. How do you think Elections should be held In Nigeria that will guarantee people's safety and uninterrupted results or biased votes!

So i came up with this idea..

IDEA 1:

What if Our votes are counted and verified through our BANK BVN?

Like the CBN can fix 1 day for every voter with a valid voter's card and a BVN to go to their bank no matter what branch and vote for whosoever they wish to vote for with their BVN then the result at each bank branch will be announced in front of the voters same day.. while the final results gets annouced by the INEC chairman. This means everything will be done digitally and they will be no means of disruption by thugs, blood shed, snatching of ballot box or fake voting papers.

IDEA 2:

Then i thought of this too.. an ICT unit in USA that will control and monitor every election that holds in Nigeria By creating a site for only valid voters to use their voter's card number to vote. Meaning the site will only be opened for 24hrs while voters sit at home and cast their vote using a valid pvc number on the site. Once all is done, the top Officials in the USA with no Nigerian involved will announce the result and the INEC chairman here will take his duty to make the next president.


This is just my idea.. i might be wrong on some points

But i wish for a more accurate and better elections in Nigeria rather than deceiving ourselves with the ballot box method which can never work or generate a peaceful election even in 50 years to come..

I thought of this idea 1 but the question is, what happens to those who don't have bank account?

only 18+ are liable to own a voter's card. So i see why someone with a voter's card cannot own a bank account.. but if this method is accepted.. it will push many people to get a bank account.

Waste of time.. imagine people having their own results before time.. who will crack a bank system to own their result? Lol

It's actually a good one but most people wouldn't accept it, especially those desperate politicians

Good, but this ballots system we use now is as a result of illiteracy here then and also corrupt politicians.But now we are getting out of it cos the level of illiteracy have improved. With time we will get to that level where u can stay anywhere and vote.

Hahahaha.. so people in the village don't own a bank account? Or don't we have banks in the village? Or the villagers don't have a cyber cafe or android phone i.e if IDEA 2 is taken into consideration.. We have advanced over the years in technology.. and i feel the so called villagers should get to adopt to it.. after all, we don't need 50million votes to determine who becomes the next president.. we have millions of people in the city that can vote.. we only need the people's decision.. doesn't matter if people in the village votes or not.. we only need someone good to rule us. Chech how it is done in Estonia

God bless you.. The only way to make a good leader in this country is to do away with ballot box method. We have so many secured way to vote digitally..

We can never get someone good to rule us if we keep voting for either of the two Serpents (APC and PDP). Even if we try using any of the aforementioned methods you listed, believe me we're in Nigeria, it would still be manipulated . We need someone from another party which is neither from APC nor PDP. That's the only way we can get it right .

ICT in USA to be controlling our election? Are u kidding me even with d glaring influence America is trying to be having on our political matters....

It means USA president will be choosing who he likes for Nigeria as president

Number 2 is a very foolish idea I must say. Are you trying to say that the black race is truly cursed that we simply cannot conduct our own elections?

If that is the case then let's just have an American president and stop the headache.

I am even thinking voters' should be 16years and every Nigerian 16 and above must have a bank account and basic education should be made a requirement to own a voters'card.

The politician will still find a way around it until they makes all the position right from the presidency down to the councillor less juicy.

i feel even if they find a way to cheat.. at least it will be more better than the method we're using now..

This is possible and believe me they (INEC) have far better ideas but will never implement it because of corruption to give chances for rigging.
