PDP Plans To Obtain A Court Injunction On Monday To Stop Announcement Of Results by Mandynews(f): 1:42am On Feb 25, 2019
PRESS RELEASE BY APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL:

PDP PLANS TO OBTAIN A COURT INJUNCTION ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2019 TO STOP ANNOUNCEMENT OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS AND THROW THE COUNTRY INTO CONSTITUTIONAL CRISES

Our usual patriotic sources from within the disgruntled PDP circle and Atiku’s Campaign team have reliably informed us that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has perfected plans to finally scuttle our democracy and throw the country into constitutional crises by surreptitiously obtaining an exparte (one-sided) court order stopping the announcement of the Presidential Election results which he fears have gone against him.

We understand that a meeting was held today with a group of senior lawyers who were instructed to prepare and file the processes in court on Monday, February 25, 2019. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was clear in his brief to the lawyers that he must be declared the President-elect of Nigeria by hook or crook, whether he wins or loses, or else he would drag the country down with him.

Nigerians would recall that the June 12, 1993 debacle that brought Nigeria to its knees and caused our country international isolation was precipitated by a court injunction stopping the announcement of Presidential Election results. The court order was obtained by a certain Association for Better Nigeria headed then by one Chief Authur Nzeribe. This is exactly what Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who claims to be a democrat, wants to foist on this nation again because of his inordinate ambition.

We are also informed that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar confided in those around him that his desperation is borne out of the fact that he has made profound commitments to his local and international sponsors regarding the sale of our national assets like NNPC and others to them that he cannot just afford to let them down at this time, having assured them that there was no way he would not win the presidential election. However, results trickling in from around the country have dampened his optimism.

This has prompted his instructions to his campaign organization, especially his spokespersons to continue to issue statements, making false claims of ‘victory’ when there is no single scientific basis for such claims. For instance, as brazen as they are to claim victory, they have not pointed at one single presidential election result in any single unit in the whole country where they scored a particular figure with a result sheet duly signed by their agent that was subsequently changed at a Collation Centre. All we hear are sound bites of Atiku’s spokespersons, huffing and puffing about winning the election just to whip up public sentiments to prepare the ground to reject the results when they are eventually released by INEC.

For us our position is very simple and straight forward: we wish to allow the legal process of declaring presidential election results to take place peacefully and in an orderly fashion. President Buhari is not desperate, but is very confident of victory.

We also note their attempt to discredit the entire elections by certain isolated incidents of violence in some parts of the country. For instance, Lagos State that has more than 13,000 voting points recorded a very unfortunate, despicable and condemnable act of violence in one voting point that was clearly not perpetuated by any known or accredited member of our party. Yet the PDP has cried out to the world about ‘burning of ballot papers in most parts the country’.

We therefore wish to advice anyone who wishes to aid and encourage Alhaji Atiku Abubakar along this infamous part to remember the June 12 debacle. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar may also wish to learn a lesson or two from President Muhammadu Buhari who resorted to the court of law in 2003 when Atiku, along with President Olusegun Obasanjo, ‘defeated’ him in the presidential race in that year in controversial circumstances. President Buhari, as a true statesman and democrat, never resorted to underhand tactics to declare himself President.

We hope a word is enough for the wise.

Thank you.

FESTUS KEYAMO, SAN, FCIArb (UK)
Director, Strategic Communications,
APC Presidential Campaign Council
(Official Spokesperson)

Any grievances any of the candidates might have about the election must be duly accessed by the courts ONLY after a winner is declared. Stopping the announcement Midway is an invitation to chaos in the country.

Politicians will flee the country first thing and normal folks will be ones left to bear the brutal brunt of their actions and words.

Be wise and reject every and all calls to violence. Nigeria is the only home you got!

Nigerians have an Esau spirit.

The ability to sell their birthright for a morsel of bread and a ladle of soup

The results at the polls are not being announced and much sorrow, blood.and tears have been shed at the polling units

Buharistans seek to force themselves back to power in a brazen manner. I've always said that if he accepts this, Tinubu's plans will pan out and Osinbanjo will become a puppet President. Be careful what you wish for.

I think it's high time i gave up on Nigeria. People like us will benefit no matter who is President. It will have just been nice if people that understood an economy, or can identify requisite talent needed to grow the country came to power. But i can't keep sending money to Nigerians to help feed, pay for school fees, go to the hospital etc If a nation cannot rise up and fulfil the true meaning of it's creed, i won't sacrifice myself for people unwilling to be saved. Even salvation in Christianity requires the sinner accepting salvation.

As you lay your bed, lay in it Nigerians. The economy will likely falter. Monies will be stolen. A new level of impunity (enter Ameachi, Yahaya Bello, Elrufai Et alia) will be unleashed. Lawlessness will grow like the pangs of childbirth without the ease of birthing. Generations will be born and die in Nigeria without knowing what kindness or a functional society looks like. Fulanis will rage. Yahoo, kidnapping and robbery due to hunger. Religious persecution will hover. Hunger will swallow the land. Unfortunately, it is the hardest Buhari fans that will be hardest hit. The iliterate almajiri, the fanatic young graduate looking for a job and the market women tricked by a 10k naira loan. INEC and other appointed officials will have lot's of looted money but no good roads to get them to a hospital on time when they fall ill. If there are, there won't be any good and qualified people at hand, becaise they've all fled to Asia, Europe, Americas or the Carribeans because of hunger, if they get a doctor or nurse there won't be any equipment or drugs to treat their ailments.

Rwanda was a war torn country in 1994, today she uses drones to deliver blood supplies to remote hospitals.

Ghana was chased out of Nigeria in the 80s with Ghana must go mantras, today nigerians are being chased out of ghana because we've overstayed our welcome.

We've had oil and gas for ages, now the Niger Delta is polluted, NNPC is richer than states and operating like a cult with secret transactions and accounts, pension funds of future generations is being looted, the people don't know or know but do nothing about it. No real ongoing investment in future technology. We don't have robotics, AI, Neural networks or chip making learning centres. We are walking into the 22nd century to compete with sticks and stones.

In the 80s you could go to Kaduna and get your UK visa same day via 3rd party submission, today there are no such consulates spread around or the liberty to travel to any nation of your choice. If you do you face scrutiny for your skin colour and the sins of your countrymen. Visas are harder and will continue to be harder. Only the best of Nigerians will get visas easily, allowed entrance to better other economies while naija suffers.

Neither Atiku nor Buhari were supposed to be elected president. Both have failed Nigerians at different times in history. Any of the young educated folks should have been better. But because only a major party can win an election, the choice became the best of 2 evils. Nigerians at various levels (military, INEC, even young corpers and some voters) decided that for a morsel and a ladle of soup, Nigeria's collective future was not important.

Adieu my former motherland.

If I've never settled for America in my heart, tonight as i cry for my old nation in my heart, i look to me new nation and tell myself with a sigh, WELCOME TO AMERICA!

If the result is not announced how can we declare Atiku as the winner grin. PDP should pick a struggle, it's either you want the result or you don't. You can't tell INEC to announce the result on Sunday and get an injunction for it not to be announced on Monday undecided

I guess the defeat suffered by saraki is still sinking in cheesy. The defeat sweet me sotey me no come care about any other result. So please if for anything PDP should just allow INEC to officially announce the Kwara result before they attempt any rubbish injunction grin grin grin

What really happened: APC used soldiers and police to snatch ballot box and shoot INEC staff.

On Saturday
APC: PPD trying to burn INEC office and voting materials
What really happened: APC thugs and urchins burnt materials where PDP where winning in Lagos, Oyo, Edo and Delta states

What does this APC wolf crying means?
APC is currently seeking out illegal means of tampering with the result
and made this announcement as a deflection.

Festus has been wailing non-stop since Saturday.

Festus, how can an opposition party have so much power. You are so pained that the shoot order didn’t work, rather it took the life of an ad-Hoc staff of INEC. You blame PDP for the unrest in PDP states whereas you know the opposite is the case.

Who cursed the southerners please? The North was peaceful and they didn’t stir up any issues there; rather it is the southerners who carried the matter more; Tinubu, Akpabio, Amaechi, Oshiomole, Festus....

The Northerners are wise; they won’t create enemity. In the south, foolish beings... slaves
