An open Letter to President Mohamadu Buhari

Congratulations on the recent re-election as the president of Nigeria sir, infact it is one thing that makes me and well meaning Nigerians home and abroad happy! We believe in the fact that Nigeria is on its way to greater heights!

Sir, while I congratulate you on the recent feat, I want to quickly draw your attention to some irregularities that marred the 2019 election! Sir with due respect to the office you hold, Nigeria is a country that is full of people of intellect, they are beautiful and also travel far and wide. We have enormous resources that could make us one(if not the best) of the best countries in the whole universe! Sir, we youths are not (all) lazy! Some of us (larger part) have our hands busy even with the situation you leaders have drowned us! You can't keep destroying our image outside the world and believe that would make us happy, No that is totally unacceptable! Who does that? Every country wants to portray it's citizenry as good people. I learnt you have a good heart and understand the diversity of Nigeria, what are you truly doing about the herdsmen crisis?

You are our president sir and we hold you responsible for the country day to day affairs, it is definitely sure that you know your people are not happy that you kept quiet to the menace caused by this gunmen, they destroy people's farm and don't care about who die, so far their cows breathe life! This second term is a call to duty Mr president and you need to give it all it takes to secure the lives and property of all Nigerians, irrespective of their tribe! Igbos were labelled terrorists, yes I agree with that decision sir, but if Igbos are terrorists Fulani herdsmen crises should not be spared too!

They complain and feel threatened with their involvement in Nigeria, they ain't fools sir, they know what they want, just that they went about getting it in a total wrong way. News had it that you once told them to seek the judiciary for their grievances, yes, totally right, I hope they will now use the best medium to explain what they truly want!

Let me be factual with you sir, the indigenous people of Biafra wants 'out' because the country is not making them happy, why? When was the last time they held the post of a president or vice president! They always complain of marginalisation, I just wish the ibos understand that we are bound by law and that Nigeria is practising democracy. Democracy is a game of the majority, the can't get what they want alone, oh, they need Nigeria's whole population to actualise that. They need to align with the other tribes and together forward a someone to give them that, it is possible! Forget the zoning system introduce by political parties, like I said, Nigeria is a country full of intellectuals, let them play their politics well and see what comes of it!
Sir, do you know that Nigeria is now free from 'extremely corrupt person(s)! Yes, PDP controlled the resources of Nigeria for close to two decades and yet nothing meaningful happened to the country full of God's blessing! They gathered to still make the country weep without remorse, yet God scattered them for you in folds. You won this election because people trusted in you, they still understand that Rome wasn't built in a day! Hence they gave you the mandate once more!

I realise they were able to shake you because unlike 2015 because you allowed impunity reign in your government! Oh, what has happened to the like of Babachir Lawal? Oh, what about Abba Kyari, not to mention the great Jagaban of Lagos? Oh those bullion vans that entered his house on the eve of 2019 presidential election ( maybe he is so rich that he own such edifices). Sir, I understand they contribute massively to the actuality of your presidential ambition, but the fact still remains that people feels if you are so keen about washing Nigeria clean of the corruption disease, you should be faithful enough not to be one sided!

Obasanjo's power sector corrupt allegation was left untouched until he made it so obvious he wasn't interested at your re-election, what about Atiku, most of us thought the Halliburton scandal was dead until he started the 'revolution'. Sir, that nearly made us lose a good man like you, we almost voted you out!
I really don't know how the thing played out, many people wanted to vote that man but most of them ended up not voting ( they are just making mouth). If that wasn't so, you might have not won convincingly! My fear was that people 'thought' that election was rigged in your favour, I also believe many things went wrong though.... well, this is what most of us also want, we want you!

It is now crystal clear that Nigeria is in your hands till next four years, we want it at its best!
Let's see the Abacha loot work for us sir, the money we borrowed from China too! The price of oil is also going high, let it reflect on every Nigerian, even those in the prisons!

We have suffered together to get here, we can't keep seeing bad things happen, if the price of Dollars go down, people gets happy and the prices in goods in market drops, what a relief for an average Nigerian on the street! How did it happen, Dollar went lower than 190 naira just some days to election! Whoever does that must be a magician! It is what we want, or let me say what you promised us sir, if someone could do that, please we beg you to hire such person and mandate him to keep it that way!

Finally, I hope this Boko-haram isuue be solved quickly. We want to travel to every part of Nigeria with peace of mind devoid of any fear of been killed!

Let me congratulates you once more, we Nigerians pray for your sound health and more knowledge to make Nigeria better! We also hope the like of corrupt Nigerians who have been weeded out of your government kept relegated out of Nigeria politics!
Yours sincerely Abiodun Itunu (drabeey)

The mods on here should deem it fit to give this powerful peace a larger view! When someone took his time to write the mind of any average Nigerians out there, yet it's dying here!

Well, it should be other people's blog only, this is a nairalander and I think he is making sense!

MonsterDK has read this and he is calling on Mynd44, Lalasticlala and seun!

Let the President know he has won, but we want him to know he didn't get this on merit! The first four years isn't too good with us!
