Since a presidential order came for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to take over the operatorship of Oil Mining Licence 11, which has erstwhile been under the administration of Shell Petroleum Development Company, the national oil producer has been in top gear to begin production.

So, NNPC is targeting to produce 500,000 barrel per day (bpd) by 2020. The corporation revealed this in its December monthly Financial and Operations Report released in Abuja on Sunday.

But could this be easily possible?
