Hi. Please I need advice from experience people here. I have been dating my fiancee for a few years now. She is Singaporean. We lived together while in Singapore. Due to an emergency I had to return to Nigeria. I promised her that she was going join me in less than 2-3months and it's 6 months now. The issue is that the money I was planning to use in renting a house in ikoyi . was diverted to something more serious. Something that got to do with a family members life.
I am self employed and make about 300k Monthly. Do you think they Embassy will allow her come meet me since I Dont have a govt job to prove I make enough to take care of her?
Secondly, I heard that the only place foreigners can comfortably stay in Nigeria is ikoyi and lekki and I noticed that the houses jn these places are very expensive. Will the embassy permit her to come stay with me if I got a house somewhere in Ikeja or omole estate?. Lastly are there other affordable places where a foreigner can stay comfortably Part from ikoyi and lekki Lagos. Will the embassy be so concerned about my status here before granting her visa?
Please anyone that has done this should also help me with a detailed guide. don't give the advice of going to the embassy to find out. Why I opened this thread to to get info from people that have already done this

Bro my advice is for you to go back to Singapore and stay there with your fiancee. Don't bring her to Nigeria to come and experience NEPA blackout ,generator noise, mosquitoes, insecurity and worst of all police brutality. Besides, 300k per month is not enough to give her an above average life in Lagos putting into consideration the high cost of securing a decent accommodation in Lagos. Go back to join her and raise your kids in a sane environment.

Ikeja isn't bad too..Allen,Gra, opebi etc has a handful number of foreigners

The only place foreigners can comfortably stay in Nigeria is where? Most I've come across love quiet remote areas die. Its all about the mentality of the person you are marrying. If she fit adapt,anywhere with some packaging will do. Unless na dem slay kweens & spoil brats.

First, how can you say there's no proof that you are working? Can't you request a bank statement from your bank? How about taxes? Don't you pay your tax? Even if you don't, your payslips or bank record should be enough proof.

Also, what do you mean that foreigners can only stay in Lekki? Maybe you aren't aware that not all foreigner or "oyinbo" is rich and lives affluently in their home countries. Omole Estate is fine I think.

As for the process of getting her to Nigeria, I've got no clue. I do think she'll get a consideration for a Nigerian visa if the two of you are married.
