Now let me school you about its demerits

1. Addiction to Porn

2. Loss of erection at the middle of sex

3. Uninterested in sex or low sex drive

4. Lack of concentration at work

5. Unexplained headache

6. Neglecting your partner

7. Unnecessary weakness

By your logic, masturbation is a sin because of these reasons? I definately should not be arguing with you. Enjoy your delusion.

Does the Pope know about this?

At least, I know that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome doesn't know about this

These days that wicked wives use sex as a tool to punish their husbands...the vaseline remedy seems to be the only viable option. Lol

All of us were catholic before. Uall of us were catholic before. We tried to overcome masturbation by our strength but not possible until we repented and was baptized in the holy ghost. Even after baptism go and relax without prayers your will still be maturbating. Catholic Church doctrine is helpeless to it’s members that’s why priest commit fornication. Infact celibacy is not biblical no matter your church

It is actually biblical by inference. Jesus was celibate, same was apostle Paul. The latter encouraged those who could go celibate to do so and those who can't to get married. That's what is it in the Catholic church. You take the vow voluntarily, nobody is forcing you. You can choose to get married and remain with the lay congregation or go celibate and join the priesthood.
You can also leave at anytime. There's no compulsion to it.
Cheers.

Don't be reta*ded. You should argue about it cos a lot of guys especially in the universities think its okay. If only you knew how many young girls have undergone abortions in secret.....Focus on fornication more cos it has drastic consequences
you are the retarde.d, unlearned and silly one.

FORNICATION is written boldly in the Bible. It was never a bone of contention, people indulge in it doesn't mean they didn't know its a SIN

Is lying not a SIN, Is it not part of don'ts of 10 commandments ....yet people LIE everyday.

The focus here is on MASTURBATION cos people try to justify the act based on the fact that it wasn't explicitly written in the Bible

So u dont read your bible? read acts 15, the church has authority to give rulings on any particular issue, guided always by divine revelation.

You do not delibrate on issues that are clearly spelt out in the work of God. Acts 15 is about administrative issues which are not sin or clearly spelt out. For all other issues, the Bible remains the standard. No rulling can upturn the word of God.

I think the Catholic church should also condemn drinking alcohol because it is also habit forming and more destructive to one's health and personality than masturbation, in addition to the fact that the alcohol addict is a danger to his fellow humans.

Did any body upturn the word of God in this case? You just want to argue without cause!

In fact in act 15 a part of the word of God was upturned, the part on circumcision.

Act 15 isnt abt administrative issues it was abt faith and morals, on what basis a gentile is to be accepted and how much jewish law should be part of his morals.

Oya go back and read act 15

I was once a seminarian and once a devout Catholic. I had a chronic battle with the issue of sexual thoughts. I need to say that those recommendations about overcoming sexual temptations never worked for me. When the urge gets really serious, you can only delay it temporarily by your efforts, but you will eventually succumb after some time.

How will u get an honest answer when u gave only two options out of the many possible reactions the man can have.

The man could also take of his eyes and mind from the girl and not allow wandering thoughts settle in his mind. He could also decide to do something that will distract him from the girl.

See, its the thoughts you allow to settle in ur mind that you act out...

Masturbation is not only morally wrong as the post claims but also desensitizes ur spirit.

Wisdom is profitable my brother

Maybe we should bring in a Man C, who sees same thing, prays to God to give him the grace to overcome the temptation and goes in to read his Bible. If we can't make effort to control self, what differentiates us from animals

We all have weaknesses, but instead of trying to justify them, let's acknowledge them and work towards getting better, asking God for the enabling grace.

that kind of rule will also condemn Jesus.

Alcohol is not a sin but the catholic church condemn all addiction.

Did you pray about it? You can't overcome it on your own.

I always made the intention known to God in all my prayers: during mass, societal vigils, adorations, personal prayers, etc.

At bolded, I had the same challenges too. The evil one won't want to give up easily, and he gives you the illusion that you can't win. That is a LIE. God has complete power over the evil one. You just have to keep rising each time you fall. Victory will be yours eventually.

And try going for confession, there is a special grace that comes with the sacrament of reconcilition. And it must not be misused.

Thank you Jesus for saving me from this disease. The selfish part is so real that you don't even want to interact with anyone. You just want to locked from people and life. Then before you know, depression sets in. Then paranoia. You start feeling like everyone hates you and don't care about you. You become do irresponsible, so irritable. So useless. Only Jesus can save from this thing. Self wil no go do anything at all.
