University of Abuja is one of the best University in Nigeria and ranked no 9th among all University in Nigeria. The school authority will open portal for student to book for hostel within 5mins for almost twenty thousand student and after maybe 50 people book the school will close the portal against any other student and start selling coupon code that goes for almost 35k instead of 13k which is the original price of the hostel and student resell for 50k 60k and female new hostel 70k for hostel which is originally 13k. We want minister for education to wave into this development many of our female student end up sleeping with male student off campus and end up having unwanted pregnancy since school has turn the hostel to private use.

The root cause is the lack of supply to meet demand for hostels. They need to build more hostels and open up auction system for the existing ones.

For the voucher to be worth so much more than the official price, the official price must be artificially low.

Also, students are supposed to be educated about contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

We have a long way to go but I trust UniAbuja students to continue to push hard for improvement in the school.
