On the night of 14–15 April 2014, a group of militants attacked the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok and abducted over 100 School girls. After the incident, most Nigerians and indeed the Governor of Borno State, Gov. Shettima rubbished the then President of Nigeria and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. Infact, many called him unprintable names and equally demanded for his resignation.
Again, in the past few days, over hundreds of Nigerians have been massacred in Zamfara State by the so-called Bandits. However, it is surprising that same people that called for Jonathan's head since according to them, he (GEJ) was the Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces but did not stop Boko Haram from abducting the girls, exonerated Gov. Shettima who was on ground in Borno State as the Chief Security Officer of the State. Now, that similar fate has befallen Zamfara State, same wicked critics are exonerating Buhari but want the Zamfara State Governor (Gov. Yari) to resign his position since he is the Chief Security of the State.
So my question is, why did they blame Jonathan as the sitting President but are exonerating Buhari today who is also a sitting President?
Why are they blaming Zamfara State Governor but exonerated Shettima since the duo are Chief Security Officers of their respective States.
why are Nigerians full of hypocrisy?
Is this wickedness or madness?
How can we make progress as a country when the citizens are totally engulfed in ethnic sentiment and religious bigotry. It is a shame!
