The circumcision of males is a practice that is recurring among the three Abrahamic religions (with Christianity it was part of the Old Testament).

The procedure can be painful, prone to infection and possibly lead to reduced sensation during intercourse. Even if these risks were not apparent, you are still permanently mutilating your child against their will.

If religious folk are against female circumcision (albeit some Muslims are fine with it), why do they condone male circumcision? Sure the effects on a female are more drastic but the same concept of mutilation against the child's will is still there.

It is no longer required to cut off the penis foreskin as a religious rite. We only carry on with male circumcision, chiefly because of the medically hygiene and cleanliness benefits

Circumcision leading to reduced sensation during intercourse, is very true, in most cases of female genital mutilation (FGM), but certainly isnt true or the case with male circumcision

God never and/or at anytime ordained female genital mutilation (FGM). This is a meaningless tradition of men carried out by those too clever for their own good. Time is not an ally, I would have narrated why and how God was forced to demand from Abraham that he circumcise himself, the entire males in his household and that practice be done for his coming or new male descendants on the eighth day after birth.

Now, here is an interesting question, why didnt God prefer the seventh day and earlier day or the ninth day and later days for cutting off the foreskin, hmm? lol. We digress, dont mind me there, lol.
