Abia State Delegates For UN International Youth Diplomacy Summit Stranded by IamHeWrites: 11:10pm On Apr 18, 2019
Three Abia State delegates for the 2019 edition of the annual United Nations (UN) International Youth Diplomacy Summit holding in Ghana, are currently stranded in Nigeria, Igbere TV has learnt.

The three delegates are Mr Agu Chisom Samuel, Comr. Eme Udochukwu Prince and Mr Solomon Akuma.

The International Youth Diplomacy Summit is an innovation of model United Nations conference that bring together youths’ across Africa to discuss pertinent issues of global interest. It is a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly, Security Council and other agencies under the United Nations.

Focusing on youth empowerment for sustainable development, the International Youth Diplomacy Conference connects youths’ across Africa and the globe and stimulates a relationship among them aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It is expected that the delegates from Abia State leverage on the opportunity to put Abia on the spot light for global interventions geared towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the state and Nigeria at large.

The program is, however, not fully funded as the delegates are expected to pay for the registration fee which covers the conference materials and other travel insurance.

In a statement sent to Igbere TV by the delegates, they revealed that they are stranded in the country and appealed to Government of Abia State for support.

“We want to contribute our quota to the society and bring our dear state, Abia on the spot light for global interventions.

“We want to make case for the Youth and attract global empowerment and sustainable development in our dear land.

“But we don’t have the financial well withal to do this and it is in view of this we are making this appeal for support and assistance in every way.

“We are calling on the Government of Abia State, Federal lawmakers and State legislators and all Abians for support, to enable us put our great state on the spot light of excellence.

“The conference is scheduled to make place from the 16th to 20th July, 2019.

“Attached are our letters of acceptance. We can be reached on 08030741515,” the statement read in part.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

Read those invitation letters and you'd discover they were invited for the conference in Ghana.

The Guy insinuated they were looking for a way to leave Nigeria thinking the conference was in the US.

That's what I called his attention to. Because I don't think anyone needs his state government assistance to "japa" to Ghana.

They should have told Abia government that they're going on kerosene summit. It is only kerosene that Abians understand.

And what made them Abia delegates Who send them They registered on their own, now they are trying to bring the innocent Govt of Abia into this.
They should go and sit down if they don't have anything to do or better Still send their sponsorship letters to the government and other organizations to help them raise the money which is about 91k aside from visa.

I got same invite and I'm trying to raise the money, if I don't I'll just relax.

If na so, me sef follow for the Abia delegates since I'm from Abia State.
