The Driver of a Micra taxi that plies Ibadan as died in an accident that also left other passengers seriously wounded alongside FRSC Ibadan officials, it happened at Moniya in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.

The accident as gathered by Viralmula.com was caused by Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who gave the  commercial Micra car a hot pursuit until the car — alongside the FRSC's own — crashed into a pit by the side of the road, resulting in the death of Akeem Ibrahim, the driver of the commercial car, and leaving four others passengers seriously wounded.

According to a witness, the driver of the ill-fated commercial taxi had refused to stop at a checkpoint manned by the FRSC officials around Ojoo. The checkpoint which is notorious for bribes called 'Egunje' in the local Yoruba dialect, where the FRSC officials charge 200naira from commercial vehicles, However when the FRSC rescue team got to the scene of the accident, all they were trying to do was to cover the code on the car. The witness said their arrival was so prompt, but when they got to the scene they evacuated their van without attending to the car it chased and forced into a fatal plunge.
