His mom has been Presurizing him to get married and settle down just like his younger siblings, but Johnson feels it's not right for him to settle down in Nigeria now because nothing is working for him here at the moment.

His business has collapsed, and he doesn't want to get married with the little change he has left in his account, because he doesn't want his wife to suffer after they get married, so instead he wants to use the money to travel abroad (Canada Precisely), and see if he can begin a new life there.

P.S : He already has an agent that wants to do the visa for him, and he is not paying the agent a dime until his visa comes out and he confirms it at the airport to be legit.

Pls guys, he needs your advice, because his mom is threatening to do something crazy if he doesn't settle down this year.

Get the hell outta Nigeria if you get the chance
Canada is a great place to settle down for your friend, but he should be ready to sacrifice a lot...
He shouldn't expect all to be rosy once he gets there. The chances of him getting a better life in Canada is 7/10 if he's really ready to work will back home is probably 4/10 even if he's a workaholic.

Go abroad, make money, come back home and marry even mama will be happy with you(we you've made it). it's possible no one will support you in this but remember... "in order to succeed, your desire for success must be greater than your fear for failure".

Take the risk, if you win you gain...and if you lose, no shame, you try again.

NEVER USE VISA AGENTS.... they can get you a real visa obtained with fake documentations, and when you arrive at the Canadians airport, you would get busted and lose your money (before being sent back)

Anyways, as you're thinking of traveling, have a plan B by the side to make sure you have something to fall back on in case it doesn't work out. Regarding the marriage issue, it's a normal thing cos if you don't marry in your 30s you might end up regretting it cos how old would you be by the time you child graduates?

Just make sure you look before you leap and find the right partner, prayerfully!

You can try to start up another business

or make plans to go abroad.

and you using an agent for Canada visa with the intent to immigrate is a BIG MISTAKE

The real issue here is what does your friend want to do? If he has made up his mind to travel out, let him travel out but if he himself is undecided then he can yield to the wishes of his parents.
