we're all now aware that dangotes petrol and other products will sell at international prices.
we'll save a tiny bit from shipping costs.
but prices will likely range from 180-250/ litre.
when u factor in fall of naira, inflation and sanctions on Iran-
these prices will increase by 5-15%.

these are all short term.

but a recent report on Reuters says the refinery might be delayed till 2022.
if true, are Nigerians prepared to wait another 3 years to stop importing petrol?
or is it time to demand d revamp or sale of the refineries?
only citizens can decide for themselves…

3-5 yrs from now, oil prices will start a steady, irreversible, downward trend.
- of course, with sharp peaks along d way.
- is will happen, whatever the situation with dangote's refinery.
- once his comes online, it will speed up the process.

why?
renewable energy gaining market share.
electric cars and end of fossil fuel engine production.
improved battery storage technologies.
innovations in carbon/graphite energy.

so Nigeria's youths have decisions to make:
continue to ignore ur refineries, or use them before they become obsolete?
go the way the world is trending- making electric cars, or continue to live in denial?
direct energies and demand govt focus on other forex revenue sources, or wait till oil is $20-30/barrel?
pay attention to governance and accountability, or leave pensioners to rule and ruin ur futures?

na only kweshun I ax o.
wink

You just helped me not to waste more comment in the uselessness of the topic.

Fossil fuel will still be in Vogue for the next 3 decades or more.

Those electronic vehicles u are even propagating can't work in most parts of Africa that can't boast of steady power supply.

The youths are not also endangered Mt OP, they are the danger to the nation with what they spew out daily on social media and their priorities also is a testament to this fact.
