Barristers in the house, please help.

My father, a civil servant passed on sometime mid-last year. I duely informed his employers of his demise.

His salary however was not stopped. Infact, it is still being paid into the account. I've submitted letter of administration and every other document required of me to the bank.

The bank says there're working on it, but I suspect they dont want to release the money.

Do I have any right to stake a claim for the money, seeing it was not supposed to be paid?

Please advice.

Your father does NOT have the right to receive that salary (that was sent by mistake), therefore how could you think you do?

What happens to the funds then? The bank says, be patient, we're investigating. They're not going to return the money, I'm sure

Sadly, your mistake was to let the bank know that the money was sent wrongly....
