Hello house, please, I need help here. I am using a Xiaomi note 5 model which I got last year August. Presenty, I can't check my airtime balance, subscribe to certain services using the USSD codes. Whenever I dial for e.g *556# to check my account balance, I get an error message which makes me unable to access my account balance and subscribe to services which need the use of USSD codes.
But my consolation has always come from the second space in the phone. The second space which serves as a private space in the phone doesn't face this issue. But it's stressful having to switch from the main space to the second space before I can recharge my phone, make subscriptions and all of that.
Please, anyone with similar issue?? Help out please. Thanks

First off, I will advice you to try resetting your phone to default settings. If you still have issues, head on to the Xiaomi threads at:

You need to give us more info.

Were you ever able to use USSD successfully on the main space in the past?

Did you flash any custom rom or update your OS recently?

I suspect its probably a setting not allowing your IMEi to be sent or so, but we need more info.

I was using it before now on the the first space and I have not flashed the phone before. Maybe I should try a factory reset but I have always been scared sha.

Neither shop rom nor fake phone, he enabled 'high contrast mode' in accessibility , its possible he is not even aware of it.

Are you able to check your imei?

Also blur out the numbers showing on that screenshot.

Lool there is no problem just that the screenshot doesn't look like typical Xiaomi screenshot.

Op turn on airplane mode and off it and dial the code, It should work. I experience this stuff before but on xiaomi

Maybe you are on lte only and your phone doesn't support volte..... Change to 3g network

A reset will certainly solve the problem, though a bit of an overkill. It is possible you downloaded an app that messed with your settings and you just need to change it back manually

What of the other sim, are you able to use USSD on it in first space?

You should note that the reason why the screen was showing 'washed' was because of the error message that appeared on the screen hereby giving more focus to the error message. Yet you calm to know all about your Xiaomi
