A Replicating Mind: The Basic Prerequisite for Choosing Productive Political Leaders in Kogi State and In Nigeria.

The human mind is a powerful and fecund tool, and one of the best gifts providence has given to man. The human mind has creative power and ability, and with it, man has ventured from the Stone Age to this modern age of information and communication technology. The mind is of different category. There exists the God Mind. This category of mind is also called infinite intelligence and is possessed only by the being Aristotle refers to as the Unmoved Mover, that is, God Most High. The God mind is not within the purview of man, although man can tap into its essence in just the same manner that your radio set can tap into the frequency emitted by a transmitting radio station. With the God mind, everything was created. Thus, there is actually nothing new or yet to be created in the entire known and yet to be known universe that has not been created already by the God mind.


The other category of the mind is the master mind or the beautiful mind. This category of mind is found in man and is the best of human mind. This category of human mind is capable of original thinking and innovation. Original thinking being the ability to draw down ideas from the God mind, to invent, innovates and remodels thoughts from other master minds. The master mind can tap into the God mind. At this juncture, it will be appropriate to deduce that men with the master mind are those since time was time have pioneered all development, progress and advancement of man as it were. You call them the geniuses and they exist in all sphere of life and human endeavour. Most are even versatile. Individuals who wield this category of mind bring about social change and alter the course of history.


There exist yet another category of mind which is necessary for my discourse, and I call it the Replicating Mind. The owners of a replicating mind have the ability to reproduce ideas and works of the master mind once they have been initiated to it or are privy to veritable information as to how to go about such ideas or works. They can replicate any idea from anybody or anywhere and make it a reality where they are located to the extent that one could mistake them for an individual operating with a master mind. Using a normal statistical curve, a good number of the human population, average, falls in this category. The author will not progress with discussing the last category of mind – The Base Mind.
Let me quickly add that the Godlike virtues and values flows from the God mind, through the Beautiful mind, and through the Replicating mind to the least category of mind – the Base mind – like the process of diffusion, that is, virtues and values moves from the region of higher concentration (God Mind) to the region of lesser concentration (The Least Mind). Thus, the God mind has an inexhaustible concentration of virtues and values and transmits it down the line to the beautiful mind, the replicating mind and then the base mind. As you move down the categories of minds in this order, the concentration of virtues and values becomes lacking.


Permit me to illustrate using Albert Einstein. Einstein was born weak as a child and did not measure up in physical strength compared to other children in his locality in Germany. But within Einstein’s body is embedded a beautiful mind that birthed an original idea. Due to his innate master mind, he had within himself a worldview, moral, value and disposition which was topnotch and Godlike. The vibration and frequency of his master mind was strong enough to tap from the God-mind and bring something new to our realm. This master mind gave him a good human quality which enabled him to have good intentions for humanity and nature. His invention was a quest to add to knowledge, a quest to discover, a quest to help humanity better understand the world and its workings. Unfortunately, when Einstein’s work got to the hands of persons with lesser minds, his invention was used not just for good as Einstein thought it out, it was perverted and corrupted. Thus, Einstein’s invention was worked up to produce the Nuclear Bomb and other allied innovation. Today, other good innovation derived from Einstein’s invention are less emphasized, but the race to nuclear armaments pursued by leaders working with lesser minds has gotten the world to a state of mutual annihilation at the click of a mouse or the striking of a key. Einstein’s invention has also been worked upon by the replicating minds to pioneer nuclear power used in various ways. Einstein’s last days were filled with remorse for using his invention – Theory of Relativity –to innovate some negative products to our realm. But comforting is the fact that some positive products were also produced.


To buttress, all what the God mind created at the advent of time was recorded by most Holy Books as good and perfect. But when men of different categories of minds started interacting with the original creation, evils of various shades crept up from the abyss. These evils were commensurate to the category of mind interacting with the original creation. Thus, less vice is attributable to the beautiful mind, but on the spiral down the stairways of other mind, vice increases.


In leadership, what this translates to is that a domain which is ruled by at least folks with a replicating mind will fare better over time than domains ruled by folks with base minds – see Allegory of the Metals by Plato. So how do we know who to vote into leadership position and who not to vote in? The answer lies in this wise saying: “By their fruits, you shall know them.” The responsibility of picking a leader rests on the people and they should be able to use the critical and rational aspect of their 6th Sense – the mind, to choose a good mind to lead. In a state or nation, the more the people who are aware of how to properly analyse how to choose a leader, the better for such state or nation. But if those who use their emotion and primordial considerations as against reason to vote prevail in a state’s or nation’s population, woe becomes imminent and people of lesser minds will occupy leadership positions in such a polity. That is why it is often said that, “A people deserve the kind of leaders they get.”

I terminate with the Latin maxim, Vox populi, Vox Dei. In English, it means the voice of the people is the voice of God. What then happens when the voice of the people is erroneous? Ruminate on this and be guided accordingly.
