I am Anioma boy_A strong Igbotic. Infact this very topic made me to open an account with nairaland today. I have been following every thread in this forum since 2013 but the lies against us the Igbos in Delta state is much and need to stop. The whole of Delta north is an Igbnland, even Buhari knows it. I hope i'm wellcome to this fun forum?

Don't be a tribalist.

The fact is that most of the people claiming that delta north are not igbos are not from there, they are mostly Edos and yorubas, it pains them so much when they see their names on achievements they will start shouting they are not IGBOS they are delta IGBOS, but if those same name happen to show up on crime they wont be delta igbos the will be igbos, when major chukwuma nzeogu headed the 1966 coup he was identified as an Igbo man, nobody came out to say that he is not an igbo man, the igbos did not deny him as their son, they carried the cross, which is one of the reasons we are been marginalised, yet some people are still spitting rubbish

The level of understanding on nairaland has deteriorated...

I won't have time for that, but I can't stand any insult from any one to the Anioma's or the Igbo nations.

Delta igbos are igbos oo

Especially those in Asaba and the rest but not pure igbo

You see when you settle in an area for too long the language pattern changes

Cases of agbor and ukuw ane people as for those ones they don't agree to be called igbos like that o I know many of them that don't accept being called igbos

I told you that you're a failure already for choosing to launch an attack on Ndigbo while trying to appear as one of them. You will continue to fail until you keep away from Igbo matters. Focus on your own people and then all may just be well with you.

There's nothing like pure Igbo. Igbo is Igbo any where any time. We understand that people mixed over time but the prevailing language and traditions today is what makes a people belong to an ethnic group. Delta Igbos are Igbos even though migrants from Bini, Esan, Isoko, Urhobo, Igala mixed with the aboriginal Igbos over the centuries. Do you know Asaba have Igala heritage? Igala use to come to Onitsha to trade far back in the days. Some of them settled and married Igbo women. Today they are Igbos. Because they don't speak Igala language any more.
Today, the ones in Anambra East LGA often called Igalas are regarded so because they still speak Igala despite the fact that they are bilingual. In some LGAs in Southern Kogi, some communities are bilingual too in Igbo and Igala. What ethnicity should they fall under?

I never asked for peace from you. I only ask that you desist from impersonation and stop stirring up dissension among my people. After you do that, you will never see my glorious presence in your mentions again. As for you subtle threat, bring it on. Courageous men don't impersonate. I can confidently take on a triple of your kind. Bring it on!

I'm an Igbo man from the quintessential Anambra state you are impersonating. I'm well known on Nairaland for close to a decade now with a clear record. My likes and dislikes are evident to all both friends and foes. However, you on the other hand are living in the shadows claiming what you're not. Seeking confusion here an there. My grouse with you still remains your impersonation both my state and people. Desist from these and watch me fizzle away from your tracks. Relent and watch life become more miserable for you. You have been warned. You reported me to the moderators yet they looked away because they know I'm right in my stance. I don't joke with words. Keep off Igbo matters!

Yeah I know that Asaba earliest settlers were igala especially all those illah areas and okpanam they were brothers of ibaji those ancient days till they moved across the Niger

You mean southern Kogi where hahaha which is bi lingual

That is ibaji oo it's just that some ibaji people speak igbo and not every one in the community speaks igbo only those that do business within igbo shores and again due to the fact of the prolixity not that they are bi lingual

So don't say southern igalas are bi lingual Yes some but not all

Those from.ette in northern Enugu also are bi lingual and iguedo and inoma in present Anambra are bi lingual mostly than present ibaji and olamaboro

I never said Igala people were the earliest settlers. I only said they contributed to Asaba's history. The earliest settlers were Igbos. You didn't answer my question on whether the bilingual people of Ibanis and Olamaboro being Igbos just like those ones in Anambra East are called Igala.
