1. SHIFT QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER
• JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a qualified Shift Quality Control (QC) Officer, to provide effective guidance on quality administration during production shift schedule.

Reporting directly to the Quality Control Team Lead, you will be responsible for the Quality, Food Safety and Aesthetics of the product. The QC Officer shall follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, Safe Food Quality (SFQ) standards and product quality standards.
Ultimately you will ensure that all production processes, in our factory, are produced under strict quality and food safety standards. If you are a leader committed to quality and have experience in our industry, we will like to meet you.
• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Responsible for monitoring and programming critical control points (CCP) on the process line.
o Responsible for monitoring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process
o Responsible for performing sanitation verification on equipment and other areas as required.
o Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
o Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing
o Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices
o Ensures and educate employees on food safety and SQF standards.
o Responsible to issue disciplinary action when directed.
o Collect product samples for product development, lab retains and the laboratory analysis during shift processing schedule
o Performs inspections on products, equipment, machinery and processes.
o Take up other responsibilities and roles as may be assigned by the Quality control Team lead.



• PERSON SPECIFICATION
o Proven work experience as a Shift Quality Control Officer.
o Must be able to work in a team environment.
o Must have a positive attitude
o Must have good written and oral communication skills.
o Ability to work in fast paced, effectively under pressure and deadline- oriented environment.
o Flexible availability; we work night and weekend shifts
o Ability to lift up to 50kg weight
o In- depth knowledge of quality control of cassava starch and other derivative during processing, and shelf life stability.
o Good IT skills, especially Microsoft applications.
o Organizational and time- management skills

• FUNCTIONAL QUALIFICATION SPECIFICATION

You will have an OND in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology and other applied sciences. You will have a minimum of 3 years experience, in a similar role, working in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing organization.
