Late last year, a colleague introduced me to an Authour named Ted Dekker and ever since,it has become my travel companion,in the traffic and when am less busy.
The guy's diction is something beyond ordinary and his ending twist always baffles me. He has written several books amongs which are; Three,Obsessed,skin,saint,showdown,Blink,House(In collabo with Frank Peretti)blessed child,a man called blessed, red,black white,heaven's wager,thunder of heaven, when heaven weeps and many more.

Ted Dekker is a subtle writer that hits the nail on the head giving you a sweet sorrow as you read.You can't help but be intrigued.

The dark and sinister website welcomes you,giving you an eerie feeling initially(well,thats how i felt) but just delve further and you'd be glued.Ted dekker is an epitome of a modern writer who is never biased when it comes to religion. Ted Dekker is good. I liked the Blessed Child series, When heaven weeps and Three. However, he sometimes allows his imagination to run riot beyond what is real. For example Blink started off so well but somewhere in the middle he lost it.

But generally, i think he is a good writer.

writers write according to their imagination and experience.Why not check out his website you'll understand why he writes that way.I'm not saying he's totally perfect. Peace!

hey Lillian,I do agree with you that Ted Dekker is an awesome writer. I would generally prefer Frank Peretti naturally but to have a christian writer that is so imaginative is really great. And Newara,no offence meant but Stephen King's scary books which ironically border too on what is unreal have and will always probably be on New York Times best seller lists!!!!! Real or unreal,Stephen King(who's books i don't like!) will always be a best Seller. So also,real or unreal, Ted Dekker will always be one of the best Christian authors we've seen.

aww, Ted Dekker is really really good! picked up "Black" one day because i was out of what to read and it just caught my eye in the bookstore, was there the nest day to get red, and begged and pleaded wiv the owner to get white asap! lol, it was so bad that they sent me an sms the moment they got it! my all time favourite, though, is Blink, out of the ones i've read that is.the circle trilogy is amazing too, wasn't really taken with obsessed, it was a good read, but felt a little far fetched, lol

Can somebody help me understand this Frank Peretti thing? i don't send the dude at all, or maybe i just picked up the wrong book, the one i got is "this present darkness", and Lord knows i've tried to get past the first chapter,

I really lik dis Ted dekker guy,although I just discovered him dis hols,I've read just 3 of his books--Obsessed,White and Red,on the lookout 4 others though.My sis also thinks d guy is unrealistic,she says he gets 2 carried away, but me I think dat's why it's called fantasy.I prefer d guy 2 Frank Peretti(who's also a good writer),I mean;I read The Prophet and got pissed, d book was so dumb,but at least Obsessed is better , even though d Stephen guy got carried away.I really don't think I can give away my life savings 4 something I'm not sure of, abi?

I read Three wwhile I was in camp out of boredom & i was completely enamored!

I am eagerly looking forward to reading his other books but TIME no gree me. . . maybe this Xmas season sha!

my favourite books though are blink and the circle triology. like one of the posters here, i got black and red. was running mental without white. when my sister now bought it for me like 2 months later i read it in like a day even though i had exams. i like how all black, white, red, showdown, saint, house are all kinda linked together.

house was a bit disappointing sha. its like that righteous kill movie. sometimes two superstars together doesn't always work. and i really do not like man called blessed. it's a disgrace to the book that came before it.

@poster have you read Adam yet? it's very different, a bit messy, but not a bad read.
