Bola Tinubu the politician is not the one imposing any market leader anywhere.

His late mother Abibat Mogaji has been the Iyaloja of Lagos (conferred on her by the late Oba of Lagos, Oba Adeyinka Oyekan II) since before Bola Tinubu became governor hence he did not influence the appointment.

In fact, Mogaji's influence was part of the reason Bola Tinubu became governor in the first place.

When Mogaji was ill due to old age, Tinubu-Ojo (Daughter of Bola Tinubu) started helping her grand mother with her business and duties as Iyaloja of Lagos and was also her PA. As the old Iyaloja grew weaker, she stepped up and took up more responsibilities and ran it without issues.

In June 2013 when Abibat died, there was a need for a new Iyaloja and all the Iyalojas in Lagos endorsed Tinubu-Ojo as their leader, went to meet the new Oba, Oba Rilwan Akinolu and he had no choice but to listen.

The issue is according to the constitution, the Oba of Lagos is not just Eleko, he is also the Oba of Lagos state meaning his Iyaloja is also Iyaloja of Lagos State hence she controls every market.

I hope you find the answer to the question you seek there.

Every Market is the direct business of Local Government but done with the help of the Obas because every Traditional Ruler worth anything in Yorubaland has an "Oja Oba" (the Kings market).

The Local Government in conjunction with the Oba handles the affairs of the Market in the SW. Which was what caused the conflict in Akure between the Deji and the traders.

I'm too sound in this thing than you imagine. If you must comment just address the computer village issues without any bias. What tech hub anywhere in the world has a singular imposed non industry leader.

The question was

"Sorry but what office does Tinubu hold to appoint, delegate and impose a leader over a market?"

That is the answer. If you now want to argue the morality off it, feel free. If you are angry at being educated, it might be because you don't want too be told the truth and you just want to either lie or be lied to.

PS: You really can't tell anyone which topics to comment on. cheesy

Tinubu is d "god of afonjas" just like you'd say "god of egypt". Anything he says must be adhered to and anything he orders must be complied with. I see oduduwa loosing relevance and piety in d next few years due to "jagabanology" existing in lagos and spreading to other south wasten states grin

Yorubas that own and rightfully control the land are not making a deal out of the iyaloja episode.. why are the IDPs from east crying more than the bereaved?
