Tobi Bakre's mother has been slammed by a life coach, Solomon Buchi, over comments she made while giving marriage advice to couples.

In the video below, Tobi Bakre's mother could heard saying women should not bother about their husband's whereabouts. According to her, doing such will only give them more problems.

If a woman is expected to give full commitment, why shouldn’t a man do so too? She even said the woman should be happy at least that he married her, and she shouldn’t complain if he goes out. A woman bothering about her Husbands whereabouts is a colossal waste of time and energy. Most times, we men dont even know where we are..

I didn't watch the video, but I'd take advice from a woman with 29 happy years of experience over anything from some random kids with a high probability of being raised in a broken home. I said high probability cos if you are from a stable home, your mom would probably tell you the same thing as that woman in the video.

Judging from the reactions to buchi’s outburst it is clear that most Nigerians including women don’t want patriarchy to end.

Buchi made sense. His wisdom can be compare to that of King Solomon. . We are where we are as black people because of this stupid mentality that no longer works. The elderly woman's advise would have made sense if it was passed directly to women at women-only gathering. We can't legalise what is wrong by embracing it. We can't advise women to endure anything thrown at them while their oppressors are listening. However, every woman should make effort to make their marriage work...and please ladies, don't use Tiwa, Tonto and other celebrities as role model for your own marriage. Celebrities are living life of baby mamas and baby papas. I know men who forgive their wives that cheated on them and it's not all men that are doing anyhow in marriage.

I agree with the woman's advice .. I know a woman that has been married for long and her husband loves her very much but I was surprised the day she told me while we were discussing that... " A woman's husband is only hers when they are together"... Lol ... Deep words but it's the sad reality in many marriages and the earlier it's accepted the less heart breaks and disappointment... As for me, I even apply that theory to women because the amazing things happening now: I don't want to die of high blood pressure because of a woman...
