When you see the extent to which lust is using with those of today's church to play football with respect to sexual immorality, you'd understand why Jesus would rather focus on the heart(lust) than the outward appearance(dressing).

For what else would be expected of a church that decides to abandon the teachings of her founder Jesus in that respect to start following that of men?

But exactly the result of today's church where divorce, adultery, paedophilia, fornication, domestic violence, rapes etc., now holds sway and have become more synonymous with the church more than it had ever been, that it has become a laughing stock to those of the world, as Satan intends for it to be.

For if anyone knew how not to sin and fall into any kind of temptation, it was Jesus. But when Jesus gives the church the tips on how to be able to achieve likewise, but the church rejects His teachings, and instead chose to follow that of men, and begin to suffer the consequences of such actions, who do you blame?

Certainly not Jesus, for Jesus cannot force the church to be as formidable as He was while He was on Earth(and also the church He built after His likeness), but only give them instructions on how to be like Him in that respect.

So it would up to the church to keep it if they like it or not, so that at the end of the day, if they would bear the responsibility for the consequences of their decisions.

Matthew 5:27-28 (KJV)

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Emphasis should be on the heart.

Man looks on the outward appearance.

Always about dressing but never about lust as it was with Jesus.

God looks upon the heart.

Do you even know what the Lord means by he looks at the heart not outward appearances?

He is talking about Eye service. Man pleasing in service. He is not talking against people living good and comfortable lives.
