I want to ask Hausa posters (Hausa specifically), what does the recent creation of five emirates out of the single Kano Emirate mean historically, culturally and politically?

I'm a southerner and we know the structure based on the relationship between hausa and fulani with fulani being 'over' the hausa and Sanusi being a product and proponent of this relationship. Is the relationship somehow a factor in this recent move? An indepth analysis would be great, preferably one that's minimally bias.

Again specifically Hausa people please, nobody that's calling themselves Hausa-Fulani because that doesn't even make sense.
