A university or any other academic community is the last place one would expect to see the crude stifling (or chilling) of the free expression of diverse ideas, opinions and viewpoints (even unpalatable ones), and in fact there should be an institutional and institutionalized culture of aggressively defending individual freedoms (including individual opinions and diverse viewpoints), so long as same does not pose threat if imminent danger or bodily harm to others. Even more DESPICABLE is that she is being punished for an opinion expressed on her private platform unrelated to the school, not even on school property or on a school platform.

They are not to be called out.... little gods... but we expect change. Primary and Secondary school students.... their teachers and administrators are like their parents.... they must follow instructions... no back talk.... they are there to learn. University level... all adults... lecturers are not their parents... it is where students should be challenging everything including them... and that is what give rise to innovations... changes. Akwa Ibom State University has suspended one of its students, Nkanang George Ufot of the Department of Performing Arts, for insulting the Institution's Vice Chancellor, Professor Eno Ibanga, on Social Media.
