The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday pulled back the Certificates of Return issued to two individuals choose of Kaduna State House of Assembly.

The individuals are Haruna Aliyu prominently known as Chakras and Ibrahim Ismail.

While Aliyu spoke to Kaduna North II (Kawo), Ismail was the administrator for Kaduna South II (Tudun Wada) voting demographic.

The pair, whose testaments were pulled back challenged in the All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries where two different contenders, Yusuf Salihu and Nasiru Usman scored 104 and 49 cast a ballot at the said races hung on October 7, 2018.

In the interim, their gathering, the APC, had substituted the names of the champs of the primaries with that of Haruna Aliyu and Ibrahim Ismail who had scored 24 and 35 casts a ballot, individually and submitted same to INEC as the gathering's hopefuls.

I am conveying its judgment on the issue at the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, the managing Judge, Justice Z. B Abubakar said Nasiru Usman having scored the most astounding number of votes cast at the primaries directed on the reported date for the elective position of part State House of Assembly speaking to Tudun Wada Constituency also called Kaduna South II, Kaduna State is the selected contender for the general races.

Equity Abubakar expressed that the indicated substitution of the name of Hon. Yusuf Salihu for the Kaduna State House of Assembly race Kaduna North II Constituency is infringing upon the arrangement of area 33 of the Electoral Act. 2010 as altered.

Following the court orders, INEC has clung to the mandates and issued a declaration of coming back to Yusuf Salihu and Nasiru Usman as the victors of the 2019 Kaduna State House of Assembly decision.
