A  200 Level student of OUI (Oduduwa University) in Ile Ife, Osun State, was reportedly electrocuted to death while charging his phone.

According to sources, the OUI student identified as  Ashante, was electrocuted to death while charging his phone on Wednesday night in Ipetumodu. It was gathered that the incident occurred during the downpour last night, just after the transformer supplying electricity to their area blew.

The cause of his death needs further verification... The phone charger gives out DC and also is not capable of allowing any voltage surge through. A voltage large enough to electrocute will just destroy the charger before it gets to the user. Maybe there is another angle I'm missing sha

The angle where you try to plug it on the wall socket? Maybe the socket is open, naked all stuff like that.

It is lightening that killed him , it’s obvious the blogger don’t know how lightening works
That is why you must stay away from electric cables or anything iron or rain water when it’s raining
It wasn’t the electricity from the transformer,it was the one produced by lightening
That same lightening that killed him blew up the transformer

I hope the true cause would be investigated.

It is very easy to commit Murder in Nigeria.

Just kill and put sniper and a note.

Or kill and put rope.

The investigation ends there.
