Good morning Beloved

Do you fear GOD?

Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
_l22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

Beloved, the fear of GOD should be your life and you must make sure you consistently fear Him without fail. Abraham was a man who feared GOD. He has always done the will of GOD, he has always obeyed GOD and lived an upright life before GOD and his fellow men.

But how strong was the fear of GOD Abraham had? How far can He go to obey GOD?

GOD wants to know how much you love Him hence sometimes He brings somethings your way and give you some instructions which looks abnormal to the normal man, He wants to know whether you would still be steadfast in Him.

Gen 22:12 ...for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

Let us look at what made Abraham to receive testimony from GOD that he truly feared Him:


Abraham did not withhold the most important thing He had from GOD. Do you fear GOD? If you do, You will not hold anything from Him. You may do the will of GOD but GOD wants to know if you truly fear Him and if He demands for your life, will you give Him? You may not understand the gravity of what Abraham did.

But Beloved, Abraham had left his Father house to a place unknown to Him and GOD already knew Abraham feared Him but the Lord wanted to confirm, He wanted to know how far Abraham could go to please Him and He asked for His only Son and the Lord was specific i.e He said your only Son, the only Son you love.

The Lord wanted to know whether Abraham could give up
- his greatest asset
- his love for his son
For Him.

But lo and behold, Abraham obeyed GOD unconditionally without questioning. I want us to understand the gravity of what is been said to you today, Abraham had been praying for a son for 25 years and the Lord says give up that Son as a burnt offering? A normal man will say, "no Lord, my labour for 25 years as a burnt offering, my inheritance as a burnt offering, my love as a burnt offering, my all as a burnt offering, no Lord, have mercy". Abraham did not question GOD,bhe rose up the next day very early in the morning to do what the Lord ask him to do.

Beloved, truth be told, if you have been seeking for admission into the University for five years and this year GOD answers your prayer which you have made to Him to give you admission to your desired course. Immediately you got the admission letter, the voice of GOD clearly says to you, " My son, leave that admission letter, take up your bag and leave your father's house and go to where I tell you". What will be your reaction?

Beloved, you can't fear GOD if you cannot sacrifice your best for Him, the fear of GOD is abnormal. If you are not ready to do the abnormal, you are not yet ready to fear GOD.

You know Abraham did not inform Sarah of the instructions GOD gave Him, because He knew that she will not agree to it, never!!! She will never agree to it. So He went very early in the morning - strategic, very very strategic.

Beloved, in summary, to TRULY fear GOD
... You must be willing to obey Him at all cost
... You must willing to give the most important thing in your life. What is the most important to you? Can you give Him?
... You must be willing to be abnormal, because to man it is abnormal to fear GOD.
... You must live by wisdom - be strategic. Be careful of your dealings. Live by wisdom.
... You must not question GOD's instructions
... Your love for GOD must outweigh your love for anything whatsoever
... You must be consistent in obedience to GOD, because GOD desires consistency, if you are not consistent, you don't really fear GOD. GOD never told Abraham that you truly feared Me until He found out that Abraham was consistent in obeying Him without delay and He was willing to give his all.

Abraham left all for GOD twice in order to obey Him. This shows that at _every_ point in time, GOD wants you to always be willing to give your totality to Him.

Beloved, do you fear GOD?
Can you give up your best to Him?
Can you truly give up your life for Him?
Can you sacrifice your life for Him as a burnt offering?

Ponder on this questions and make a decision to fear GOD consistently and totally till the end. I am ready to be abnormal that I may fear HIM and you likewise must be ready to be abnormal in your submission to GOD.

Beloved, fear GOD. Submit all, what part of your life are you still withholding, surrender it all to Him. May the Lord give you the grace to fear Him in Jesus name. Amen.

The grace of the Lord be with you.
