if it is by circumstance (i.e. we figured she couldnt get pregnant after several tries AFTER we got married) then fine, we'll do the adoption thingy or decide not to have kids at all. If it is by choice, then she's not for me. |

There are lot of steriled men and some rich men prefer to marry women who do not want to have children, could not bare children or already have children---but not want more children. I have my male friend, who has his bad childhood experience that make his phobia/paranoid of raising children, prefer that type of women you mentioned to date with and to get married with. Nothing wrong with it!!! Sadly in the US unsteriled men refused to do so, like AmerOmoge has said, to want children to carry his family name. |

this is an extremely rare phenomenon, prevalent mostly in W.Europe and N.America. it goes against basic human instinct not to want to have kids. they must've had bad experiences, or are scared, or are very selfish folk who don't want to 'ruin their figure' or don't want any crappy kid dependent on them. as for me? prior knowledge that she could not bare children would be difficult to accept, unless I have some clear direction from God saying this is the person i should marry. |

though i find it hard to understand why people dont want children, i dont judge them. it beats me hollow why a couple wont even consider the token kid! i guess they have their reasons. no way i could have married a man who wasnt ready for diaper patrol. |

I don't think I could marry a man who didn't want kids. . . No, that's not what God planned for me. . . |

[s]I think the topic is being misunderstood here . . Its about people who don't have a choice, for one reason or the other they're importent or barren . . will you marry them??[/s] Well i'm not sure if i could ooh, i want kids and would like to carry the pregnancy, now if i love the guy too much that i couldn't imagine life without him, then i have to meet both needs one way or the other Adoption would have been great, but since i want to feel pregnancy myself, I'll settle for a sperm transplant from a topp-class "sperm bank" Now if the lady was barren and i was a guy, i'll pay a lady to carry a fertilized egg of my sperm and unfertilized egg from an "egg bank", please do not consider using the lady's egg(s) Cos despite written and oral agreements its not always easy after the child is born And there is an adage that "when a child grows up, he always knows his mum",. but when donors are unknown it carries a bigger chance of preventing misunderstandings and quarrels. Lastly, if my wife just is incapable of carrying out a pregnancy, i mean she gets pregnant but looses it to the "wicked hands of miscarriage", then we''ll perform some fertilization of my sperm and her eggs and pay someone else to carry it out . . its still our offspring at the end of the day . . CHIKENA!!! AmerOmoge . . did i leave any stone unturned?? |

AmerOmoge: Yes ooh . . whoever said good things come easy Though some get it cheaper (not having to go through all that), there's differnce in stock to what life holds to each and everyone of us. You might be luckier than someone else in some other aspect of life!!! |
