Alphabet Inc's Google has warned the U.S. government that its ban on Chinese tech giant Huawei, risks compromising U.S. national security if it goes ahead with sweeping ban on Huawei Technologies.
Google is reportedly pushing back and claiming that this might force the Chinese tech giant Huawei to build its own “hybrid” version of the Android operating system.
This is kind of true because, reports getting to us earlier this week says Huawei has started testing their OS and its compatibility with Android apps. This new OS is called the Hongmeng OS. Reports also says that Huawei is planning to bring the Hongmeng OS to the market before the 90 days given to them expires.
Reports also says Huawei has shipped over 1 million Smartphones with the OS for testing it with Android apps.

This new OS is labelled by Google as a HYBRID version of the Android OS.
Google has been arguing by cutting tiers with Huawei, the US risks the availability of two kinds of Android operating system which will be the genuine version and a hybrid one.
Google claims that the hybrid one is likely to have more bugs in it than the genuine one, and so could put Huawei phones more at risk of being hacked, not least by China.
So, by trying to prevent this from happening, Senior Google executives approached the US commerce department asking for either another extension or to be exempted from the ban.
We haven't received any updates on the US commerce department response to Google's request but, we will keep updating you on it.
