. . . just a quick question for nairaland users.


Will this reorganization work?
Mobile Police - Federal owned unit.
Regular Police - State owned unit.

Uniform will be slightly different.
Both will patrol the regions
Only the mobile police will be allowed to carry firearms.
Ratio of mobile police to regular police would be 20:1

I think this a a good idea, but it should be tried in some states first probably Abuja, Ilorin and Cross river state

mobile police should be allowed to patrol trouble 'hospots'
