It took me a while but I'm finally here. I want to share my experiences because I feel many persons would benefit from it.
I'm going to be sharing about my journey so far.
I only ask that questions should come in an orderly manner, that means we would take questions at different intervals.
Ready?!

The question is why would I leave in the first place?
Simple answer is I was tired. Tired of the structure, staffing, poor opportunities, I felt stuck and just wanted more.
I wanted to see what's going on out there. I wanted to be part of a standard setting and reach for my dreams which seems impossible for me or would have taken so much time. This wasn't about money. It's about fulfilment.
So, my dream of working abroad started about 2 years after school of nursing. I was working but not happy, after going for post basic program, I still felt stuck somewhere even with a public service job. With all the experiences I don't want to bore is with, I finally made up my mind in October 2018.
Booked IELTS UKVI, in January and did the test March 1st. It came out well.
Then I searched for a potential employer, did the interview and was offered appointment.
So, paper work began.

DAramis:

Thanks.

The 3 agencies that was dropped, only 2 has functional websites... I think the idea of the agency paying for the CBT test would be preferable (if it ends up that she can't afford the fee).

The cv aspect is to enable her to draft adequate one that can enable her attract the agencies with respect to job opportunities. You can redact the cv to protect some information of yours (IE removing some personal informations you wish not to share or changing it).

Thanks once more for the reply. PM sent.
You can drop other agencies name you know of... Just trying to get various options to explore.

I honestly don't know if I got the said CV. But do ask those I quoted since they are also a nurse. They are in better position to assist you.

Please, after doing the pre-registration Nursing program, will one be able to practice in other countries asides the UK? If No, what's the advice you can give to someone without a prior nursing background but wants to switch to nursing and be eligible to practice in other countries? Thank you.

crushsugar:
Also, it takes so much time these days to get things moving these days, please start your NMC process even before IELTS to make things a lot faster.

For those who want to study msc Nursing in the UK, Please make sure it is a pre registration program so that you could have the pin to practice at the end of your program whether you have been a nurse before or not. The regular Msc is only academic, you cannot practice with it.

If you are in the UK and you need someone to talk, or somewhere to rant or some advice... DM me.
Pls can I still send a DM on my wife's behalf? We are both in the UK here. She is the dependant on my student's visa. She is a nurse midwife and has just paid 140£ for her eligibility stuff... She will like to ask you some questions as she presently doesn't have anyone guiding her. All we have been doing is just from information gotten online which might not be as straightforward as someone that has that experience. Thank you.
