This is surely not a genuine apology, I can call it a political statement emanated from one erred political member to save his political career.

I thought he was preparing a robust response because the video was doctored. From the apology video, there was no sign of any remorse accepting that his actions is shameful but an arrogant posture of positioning himself for political relevance to maintaining his political seat.
