Focus: Free to Serve God

WORD FOR TODAY
You are not free to serve God until you stop living for yourself and live to fulfill the will of God. Serving God means seeking to do His will in everything you do!!!

"And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." (2 Corinthians 5:15 NKJV)

You are not serving God because you bear a christian name, sing, dance, lifting of hands and engaging in spiritual activites but doing things the way God will want you to do it. You will never be free to please God at any level of life if self (the sinful nature) is placed under subjection.

In everything you do, you must be mindful of this very fact: "if you must live you must not live for yourself" you must not pursue your own evil desire but the will of God. Whatever you do you must seek to see that God alone is glorified; this is true worship.

The world will be a very beautiful place if all men will only pursue one goal which is to see that the will of God is established in every domain of life. A worship that is acceptable is that which is devoid of the works of the flesh. Denying yourself and taking up your cross on daily basis is the ultimate step to becoming free to serve God.

Lord! Help me to live for you; help me to fulfill your purpose in all I do in Jesus name. Amen

You are free to serve God only if your intention and pursuit is to do the will of God!!!
