2 Jobs: Which Do You Prefer?

I am working in an IT solutions company, were we help design e-solutions for government, private etc. So am in marketing department. I am paid 35k and 5 percent on commission, but since we started nothing has come my way in terms of commission. A few hitches here and there.

But I have a hospitality job say hotel which wants to pay 50k, and as they say there is prospect of career growth. What should I do? Take this offer or continue with my IT guys? Help me, I need it now!

I had an opportunity like that too, i was given a hospitality job of 40k and an official car, i am presently working with an investment company which is in line with my career i earn 25k with 5% comision, i choose to stay because working in a hotel does little to my carrer, apart from the income i cant work in an enviroment like that.

All i ll say is as long as you are comfortable in the hoteling enviroment you should go for it, although the income is tempting but sit down and look and the opportunities you will get while working with the hotel as well as working with the IT company.

Think about the time frame, what you will be able to do with your leisure time at the hoteling.

I believe most of the answers lies within you.

LET ME TELL U MY GUY,1. the IT company,they are not trying 2. they have started gettin you aggravated thats why your even comtemplating goin for another job. Although IT jobs are noble job, my advise to u is to blank them and go for the new job first,stay there and be lookin for another IT job, with the experience gotten from the first one which will be included in your cv i believe you will get another better ones ( no body can rubbish you) OSNON FROM PH OUT!

The bulk of the work lies in ur hand,u have to count ur cost,make benefit analysis,understand urself,where do u want to make career,because these are two different fields,hotel and i.t,dont look at the pay but look at the career that u want to build,with these tools in ur hand AND PRAYER u can now decide. ALL THE BEST.

i am just a marketer, selling any of the IT SOLUTIONS the company designs, manufacture or secure a contract with.
also u r given a target to meet.on my own i can register and learn IT.but as u all know its the finanace to pursue some of ur dreams that are holding us back.

if you want money, then go for the new job and dont be ashamed to want money.while you are making money, try and think of what you want to do and how you can get it done.

but if you go to the hotel, eat free food, drink beer and malt, sleep on fine bedsheet and forget what you went there for, then you'd have yourself to blame for not making hay while the sun was shining.

i will advice that u take the new job bro.There is nothin bad in cutiin across different jobs,afterall thats wat en employer is looking for,that is experience, this is naija,get ur dough frm ur new job,invest some part of the money,develop urself and move on.

I must say that you dont deserve either job in the first place.

Someone has given you a job with 35k salary and 5% commision, and you've not come around to getting the commission yet?
That means that you've not been productive.
What do you think they employed you for? Marketer or or Mr Looker?
Even bank marketers do not get commission. and they bring in billions of Naira of business.

My friend, better think about your life very well. all you need to do is get business of 5m every month and you are sure of 250k.

Someone has given you an opportunity to earn very good pay and you are not making use of it. Shio!
