Major attribute and problem of the atheists is that they are brutish and simple. Though they believe they are wise and logical, but they are nothing short of fools.
'For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent'. 1 Corinthians 1:18

Is the man referring to natural death?

'Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when we ye be wise?' Psalms 98:8
I don't believe a single thing from that story book

He was not speaking to the press, and neither was he speaking to Nigerians. He clearly said he wanted to warn HIS OWN PEOPLE!

Why someone posted it here should be that someone's problem.

If it was possible for him to speak this without using the microphone he probably would have done that. But how do you speak in hush-tones to millions spread around the world?

Other GO's are different. They can chose differently, but anyone leader has a right to warn his own people!

And he never mentioned any name. He quoted scriptures and gave warnings.

Hmmm

He said, when woman accuses man, nobody we listen to the man ( may be nobody is listening or believing Fatoyinbo side of the story)

He said, no matter how long your sins we catch up with you (may be Fatoyinbo sins are catching up with him )

He said, what you will not eat don't bring it closer to perceive the aroma ( may be the food tempted Fatoyinbo and he decided to take a bite)

He said, a person that people want to set ablaze that rub oil on his body and sit close to fire make job easier for those that want him burnt ( may be Fatoyinbo already have so much enemies in the church ).

He also reiterated that it is good to be called old fashion than to die before your time. Therefore keep women at arms length, position like private secretary should not be given to woman if you're a man of God.

Note :- Woman is the only creature that had one on one discussion with devil and stroke a deal (I mean like business discussion)

I love this....it is what we all need to know. People do not want to struggle for anything again, they want to have them on a platter of gold. Reasons we have ritual killings, kidnapping, arm robbers etc may God help us to wait on Him.

Why would I think someone who married several women and gave birth to many children is gay?

Like I wrote earlier... The tolerance of that religion gives you the room to even think, and utter such... No other religion would be so forgiving or condoning. Still, be guided.

Your point is moot. I couldn't have called Mohammed gay cuz it's obvious he wasn't. as for insulting islam, maybe you should pay a visit to islam section where the likes of Jeromeblack, tintingz etc do justice to that. quit living in your own bubble

Lool, no o, I'm a Pastor :p

You're right. I share same view, Jesus didn't necessarily downplayed the role of women though. My previous submission wasn't totally right since Mary Magdalene, one of the top financiers of Jesus Ministry, was in the same age group with disciples like Simon Peter. There was no record about her going to hotels places alone with Jesus though, like some Ministers do these days.

I no dey there oo but anywhere you see Mary Magdalene in the Bible, you would see other women, especially the older ones like Mary Mother of Jesus, Mary Mother of James and Joseph, Mary mother of Joses, etc.

You show a shocking disrespect to the elderly. I might not agree with an elderly person, but it would be very wrong to call them out as a puppy.

Is your elderly father a puppy too? No he isn't, respect the elderly ones.

What you said was something I would expect from a human with a single digit IQ. Go back and read what you wrote. Pastor Adeboye made many points and the guy you replied to pick a factual point yet you blasted him for not picking other unrelated points and being unbalanced. Is he not at liberty to pick a point from a speaker's speech? Need he address all points? Can't he address one without addressing the others that are unrelated to the point he is addressing?

I have, by chance, come across many of your post and it became clear to me that you are not bright. You argue with your emotions.

What I don't understand is why you are being so emotional about a comment I didn't even quote you on. Seems more like you have been waiting for an opportunity to pounce.

It seems when a lady challenges a guys on this forum, aside crying "feminism", they cry "IQ". I guess you think calling someone"brainless" means you have a high IQ.

I didn't come here to exchange words. If we cannot have a mature conversation without insults and preconceived mindsets, you can please quote someone else.

I purposely decided to allow the guy you mentioned (imaima1) to wallow in his/her ignorance because his/her ignorance is legendary and i am so busy that i can't dedicate some minutes of my time trying to tutor him/her and set him/her free from his/her folly

It is very obvious he/she is suffering from "intellectual myopia" because he/she was unable to deduce that the point i highlighted was the was main point with regards to the issue being discussed

How many people believes/believed or will believe pastor Biodun? Your guess is as good as mine, and the reason is because he was accused by a woman.

Don't mind her, she was just arguing from her emotions instead of brain, that's if she had one. The stupidity and disregard for rational thought with which Nigerians handle the Busola COZA Rape scandal left me so disappointed that I created the topics Part 1 — Rape Allegations : Appropriate Approach and Caution for men and Part 2 — Rape Allegations : Appropriate Approach and Caution for men.

The mob system has seen anyone accused of rape, regardless of evidence, vilified and reprimanded. This same mob system has seen innocent old women subjected to immense public humiliation and brutality because someone accused them of being a witch after claiming to have seen them transform from a bird to human.

Some folks are alien to critical thinking and rational reasoning, it is very evident especially here on nairaland

imaima1 is a perfect example of such folks. Her sense of reasoning has been clouded by undue sentiments and emotions and the harder you try to enlighten her the worse her situation becomes

Pastor Adeboye has given the best response on this issue so far...

Most men of God keep making that error of believing in their personal ability to live above formication. It takes the grace of God, and an exceptional sense of discipline. Why would a clergy man surround himself with young comely maidens, and expect not to have even a tiny spark of lust, is he castrated or asexual?

I like the part where he said one can't cover sin forever... Whatever Fatoyinbo did with Mrs. Dakolo that long would not be a big deal now if he had truly repented, sought forgiveness (restitution), and taken heed to remain completely chaste.

adeboye's response and conclusion that Fatoyinbo must have committed the crime against Mrs Dakolo is based on perception going that Fatoyinbo perhaps is a womanize,r and not based on fact. Now, that is not wisdom at all.

What if tomorrow Mrs Dakolo comes out to say she accused Fatoyinbo wrongly then adeboye will swallow his parables abi?

All because a pastor may be a womanizer does not mean he is a raper, I don't know the way Adeboye and Africans reason sef, it's so myopic.
There is no wisdom in that kinda conclusion.

All you Africans are always careful of is what will people say when a pastor is womanizer?
But what if Fatoyinbo is not thinking like that but only trying to be himself as a womanizer pastor not minding what people keep talking? Does that warrant people like adeboye to conclude that he actually raped?

Please let's be wise as Christians, though womanizing is wrong i do not like or support it. But it isn't nice condemning other people to a crime like rape that has not been proven that they have committed simply because they are indulging in practices like womanizing i don't like or support.

Adeboye is not wise at all.

My good sir, I sense you didn't quite the essence and import of the entire write up. There was no bias nor prejudice... He simply used the entire drama as a teachable opportunity to point out basic things every believer should be well aware of...

He didn't castigate or vilify the accused (a fellow labourer in God's vineyard), neither did he try to defend or make light of the grievous accusations. That's called balance.

You strongly feel or sense indirect judgement from the scriptural exhortations... That's because, no matter how we all try to neutrally broach this issue, we can't ignore the not too hidden implication of several pointers to sexual infidelity... If it were a lone or isolated case of alleged infidelity, I doubt there would have been even the slightest uproar. While the accused here might be innocent of rape, the negative history of sexcapades or sexual misconducts can't be easily swept under...

This whole issue remains a huge lesson to all in sensitive ministerial positions within and without the church... It's a call to decency, discipline, and proprietary.

The man of God has delivered a Divine counsel... Wise people have taken heed. If you insist on poking holes, and calling him names, that's your right and opinion.
