By God’s original plan and purpose in creation, men and women are created equal and have an enviable and colorful destiny. However, while many lived and left this world with an indelible footprint, having lived and fulfilled their destiny, others allowed the devil to rob them of their enviable destiny. In other, their destiny was aborted or destroyed.

The question then is, “are you living to fulfill your destiny or will you allow the devil to rob abort or destroy your colorful destiny? In this post, therefore, we shall learn from those who fulfilled their destiny and as well as those whose destiny was aborted and destroyed.

The first person we shall look at is the man Moses in the Bible. The man Moses fulfilled his destiny in leading the people of Israel out of Egypt. Look at what was said about Moses in Hebrew 11:24 – 26.

Hebrew 11:24-26 “By faith Moses, when he has come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.

One thing that was said of Moses was his personal choice, he Choose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season while as greater number of people whose destiny were aborted or destroyed, they choose to enjoy the short pleasure of sin at the expense of their destiny.

Look at another man that fulfilled his destiny by refusing $exual pleasure is the man called Joseph as can be seen in Genesis 39:1 – 14. Joseph replied Potiphar’s wife $exual advances in Genesis 39:9, “There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?

While Joseph fulfilled his destiny and vehemently rejected $exual pleasure, the life, and destiny of Amnon the son of David was sacrificed in the platter of $exual pleasure because he raped his step-sister Tamar to satisfy his $exual pleasure.
