This is to everyone out there!! Please beware of the new MTN bundles. They are promoted as a benefit to the consumer. However, I subscribed to the FUNLINK bundle, which is gives 50minutes of "on net" calls, 200 "on net" sms and 60Mb browsing. To my surprise, my first on net call was 1minute 28 seconds, but the balance told me that I had 48 on net minutes left!!!! I.e they have deviced a smart way of returning people to per minute billing!!

My advice to everyone, just dump MTN and go for Glo or Etialat whose rates are clearly stated at 25k/sec or N15/min, cos with MTN, by the time you have made 25 calls of 1min 10 secs, your 50 on net minutes are gone, when all the time you've really spent on the phone is actually 29mins 10 secs.

BEWARE!!!

I dunno, but it seems like you already had a grudge against MTN before your experience. Anyway, you shouldn't conclude with just one phone call. You should make another call for maybe 15 seconds, I bet they won't charge you.

48 on-net minutes is actually 48minutes and 32seconds just the same way their system rounds off your data usage to the nearest MB.Nothing to fret about 'cos i've been using the Funlink bundle for the past two months.

Happened to me too. I made a call of 20 seconds twice cos network was bad and cutting me off and I was told I had 48 on net mins left. The only good thing about it is the 200 sms that comes with it. but they charge per mints not seconds as stated maybe they should charge and state the mins to seconds so it will be 3000 seconds instead of 50 mins.
