Nigeria is still suffering from the effects of evil decisions made by egocentric IGBO'S. But they want to transfer the blames on Fulani tribe. The first political assassination of Northern Nigeria leaders destroyed all.

On a January 15, 1966, a group of young military officers staged a coup, killing off political leaders.

The military officers were all from the South of the country.

All but one of the leaders of the coup were Igbo:

Maj. Kaduna Nzeogwu (Igbo),
Maj. Emmanuel Ifeajuna (Igbo)
Maj. Timothy Onwuatuegwu (Igbo),
Maj. Chris Anuforo (Igbo),
Maj. Don Okafor (Igbo),
Maj. Adewale Ademoyega (Yoruba),
Maj. Humphrey Chukwuka (Igbo),
Capt. Emmanuel Nwobosi (Igbo),
Capt. Ben Gbulie (Igbo)
Capt. Ogbu Oji (Igbo)
These self-styled revolutionaries put out that they were out to root out corrupt politicians. Somehow their idea of the corrupt seemed to had an ethnic colouration and Christianization of Nigeria agenda.

All the major victims of the coup were mainly of the Northern Region or their Southern allies. The Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa , of Northern extraction and the Premier of the Northern Region Ahmadu Bello, were killed. Ladoke Akintola, the Premier of the Western Region, an ally of the Ahmadu Bello, was killed. Somehow the Premier of the Eastern Region and the President of the country, Nnamdi Azikiwe, both Igbo were spared.

The casualties also included the most senior military officer from the north, Brig. Mailamari, senior officers from the West but curiously none from the Eastern Igbo region.

The casualities list -

Brig. Samuel Ademulegun, (West)
Brig. Zakariya Maimalari, (North);
Col. Ralph Shodeinde, (West);
Col. Kur Mohammed (North);
Lt. Col. Abogo Largema,(North);
Lt. Col. James Pam,(North);
Lt. Col. Arthur Unegbe, (East); - the only Igbo, the Quartermaster of the Army who refuse to co-operate.
Sergeant Daramola Oyegoke,(West);
PC Yohana Garkawa,(North)
Lance Corporal Musa Nimzo, (North)
(North); PC Akpan Anduka (East).
The coup has therefore since been dubbed ‘the Igbo coup’.

The coup failed but the head of the most senior military officer became Head of State. He was General Aguiyi Ironsi. He was Igbo. Much was expected of him especially to reassure the North and make moves that will cast away fears of Southern (Igbo?) domination.

However Karma caught up with them, during the Civil war and the marginalization they are experiencing now is the direct antitheses of seizing power from North by killing its leaders. Igbo's will never be president in Nigeria. Ruga or no Ruga. A Fulani is your president.
Igbo's always play the victims card, forgetting that History can never be changed. They are happy Fulani are been told to leave their lands, backs North........what is good for the goose is good for the gander , Igbo's will have to leave the North once the Fulani start migrating back to North.

I won't call you an idiot even though you clearly spoke like one. Igbo's did the first coup in the 60's, now tell me who has been the greatest beneficiary of that coup? Of cause your poverty stricken, disease ravaged, illiterate region and what have they been able to do for your region and Nigeria in general? Of cause turn it into the poverty capital of the entire world ranked in the same league with war stricken Afghanistan and the likes.
Stop giving that lame excuse of Igbo's starting coups but rather hold your leaders to account for the injuries they have caused to you and the entire nation at large.
Can your puerile mind imagine the trillions of dollars your leaders have gobbled for decades amongst themselves while keeping your region and the entire country in this mess we are in today?
They use religious piety as a weapon to enslave your people preventing them fro knowing themselves and the truth of the carnage they have unleashed upon them all these years.
I can go on and on and on about all these cause I have lived there and I saw these things with my very own eyes. Your leaders have kept you and maybe the entire nation in an abyss of poverty and confusion that it will take decades for you or the country to be at par with the rest of the world.
At least you are educated, use your education to teach your people these things and help them.
The greatest victims of Nigeria are the poverty stricken people of the north that have been enslaved using the powerful tools of religion and illiteracy. Let them see that their leaders are not their saviours rather those that have enslaved and destroyed their region and the entire nation.

Igbo people in North should be careful. NEF made that declaration so that their people will come back because they have plan of hiding inside terrorists and attack Ndị Igbo. Then Ndị Igbo won't be able to reply properly because majority of Northerners must have gone back to North.
what difference does it make? and how does it affect the fact that igbos are ever awoke

IPOB is not Igbo, Igbo is not IPOB. IPOB means the "Indigenous People Of Biafra".

I see great fire in Nigeria, Fulani herdsmen terrorist and British will not escape this time.

This is not 1970.

What is your purpose in life and where would you be if today were your last day earth?

I can die and resurrects for Biafra and Biafrans. But you die for the zoo called Nigeria?

What kind of Human Being did we allow to become elected as the President of this country.This man has no regard for Nigerians totally.This is the height of hypocrisy.Imagine it is when your kinsmen have been told to vacate a region that he has found his voice confidently.Every other issue is irrelevant.l am taken aback by this.This is preposterous.

Shurt up jare all these silly guess work.
The truth is everyone must rise up to fight these fulanis.
What is igbo this igbo that, yoruba this and that, must everything be about igbo and yoruba. Both tribes always disgracing themselves. Why is it that you dont hear other tribes always quick to make noise. Last time I checked, fulanis have been killing igbos in igboland (enugu, imo) and killing yorubas in almost all their states and all they could do is cry out to government for help, yet igbos and yorubas will be first to come online and boost rubbissh.
The yorubas and igbos need to stop this psychological welfare of trying to make the other believe you are strongest by quick to point out the other's weakness.
The igbos, yorubas, Ijaws, efik, urhobos, itsekiris, benoid, and those in mid belt should all rise up and contain/destroy this fulanis in all our various regions even the hausa should join us, that way, they will be the ones calling for peace for fear of dividing this country which means they the fulanis will lose the power of aso rock

You want to destroy fulani and you want us hausa to join you, are you mad? Any attack on fulani is an attack on us we are different as tribe but not as society.

Every Nigerian should condemned the terro acts of herdsmen, We hausa condemned it too but difference is we never approached conflict between farmers and herdsmen in a bigotry way, he perceived such conflict as farmers and herdsmen conflicts not hausa & fulani or farmers and Fulani conflict.

You southerners are just being political, turning societal problems into tribal war. You can unite and continue with your bigotry but leave us hausa out of this.

I don't understand why some Igbos still base in the North! That place is a very volatile area filled with hostile and barbaric people!

Is herding of cows the exclusive of a tribe?

Just like spare parts business the exclusive of a single tribe?

What is wrong with having a radio station to educate the people?

I am happy you know that cattle rearing is not an exclusive of one tribe. Why then do we have to give a radio frequency to only one tribe in the cattle business?

Why have we not given an equivalent of 3 LGAs to spare parts dealers and their families?

Why then are the Myetti Allah, NEF, and Northern youths threatening FG and the rest of us, if RUGA isn’t a Northern agenda, to enable the annihilation of indigenous land owners?

Guy, you are not reasoning well. If you are from the North, please tell your people that this is 2019. Such nonsense will not be allowed. We in the south will bleed our last blood before being fulanized and islamized.

Once again, cattle business is a private venture. FG can assist them and others too, in any other sincere way, but definitely not by land grabbing. If you are a Northerner, I completely understand your position, but if you are a Southerner, you have simply become a useful idiot. History will never be allowed to repeat itself this time.
