This is very painful. A Naval Officer LtCdr Solomon Derikoma from Rivers State was killed at Staff College, Jaji in May this year. Ambushing a Colonel whether on mufti or uniform is a well planned operation. The informant - the boko haram team in Nigeria tried. Until there was a change of governor in Zamfara, the South never knew the Fulani and Hausa are fighting each other. When Air force sent jet to drive away the bandits, the disadvantaged group claimed Air force was killing innocent civilians blackmailing Nigerian Air Force while the other group were happy with the operation. The boko haram which the North has brought upon Nigeria is a burden too heavy to bear in addition to herdsmen menace.
