"It will be recalled that recently the newly inaugurated green and red chambers of the National Assembly were showered with billions of naira at a time government is playing games with the minimum wage. " If TUC members know that there is money in red or green chamber, why not renounce TUC membership and join politics to become member oof green or red chamber. It is opened to everybody, many former TUC members are there, go and join them. Everybody is opened to go and look for greener pasture. With N18,000 minimum wage, many states can still not afford paying their entire workforce in a go, you are talking about N30,000. Let government start N30,000 payment to those in low-levels first, and later they can talk about higher levels when government is capable, but if red or green champer money is what your members want, they can go and float their parties to be elected to collect that billions also. |
