We are talking about occupied space, you are talking about hectares of land unoccupied. Every school has thousands of unoccupied hectares. Don't ever compare ABU with Unilorin

Don't mind those guys making very needless arguments, so in order to compete with bigger Universities you go and amass plenty bushes just to trend?! You think when wikipedia talks about size they are only talking about land mass?! You'll be disappointed when one of these new universities will come up with 20,000 Hectares.

When talking about the size of an institution they are talking structures, population, diversity and what have you yes landmass is also part of it but it is only one of the parameters. Like some pointed out here the number of buildings, structures and occupied space alone cannot be compared with any other. In fact how many faculties do you have in Unilorin, how many Departments, how many Campuses, academic and non academic staff, how many students? It goes on and on, please just chill, landmass is nothing it can always be overtaken by others as plenty lands and bushes abound in the country.

In my calculations 320 is better than 313 and it also depends on the grades of other applicants that year. Please let us know about the university in your state and whether they admit candidates from all states of the country. You can give us the percentages.

yes it is but you can't tell me the least they admitted that year was 314 score and the guy I'm talking about is from a catchment state also. I won't argue the secularism of the school but I'll only say their admission process is bias for top notch courses

And believe me the distance is far ....and all dt land belongs to UNILORIN ..

Also the actual campus is very far from the gate..About 10minutes drive....All dt land btw d gate and campus is still UNILORIN'S...

In ABU however, u enta d gate n immediately come in contact with the campus..Though there's still land behind the campus on ur way through botanical garden to the Dam..

there's an argument for UNILORIN being larger than ABU

Due to ABU massive landmass, another university is been constructed inside the institution that will cater for the increasing demands for admission into the school. That project alone, when completed will be bigger than some university in Nigeria and it will also have almost all the faculty that the main ABU have. No be to just gather empty landmass here and there and be shouting Uni Ilorin is the largest.

Nonsense! Tell me the department where they do that. I'm a student of ABU, Zaria and with due respect, all you said is untrue. Zaria is a Muslim-dominated area. Despite that, there are still churches in the campuses, a thing you can't find in UNIPORT, UNN and other state universities claiming to be federal. JAMB awarded ABU the most cosmopolitan university this year. In my class, 257 people were admitted from all the 36 states. I've lost count of the Christians in my class and the ones I see on campus everyday. Whether you like it or not, ABU isn't a religiously biased school. As for the Arabic logo, it is translated as "jami'atul Ahmadu Bellu," which means "Ahmadu Bello University." Stop showing you're ignorant because Arabic is a mere language.
