What you don't know is that... What keeps a television program going is not the organisers but the promoters the investors and so on... Why do you think that gulder ultimate search went down? The problem is we Nigerians really don't want the nice shows to air but we want the useless ones to... An example is our music... People don't care about the lyrics they just want to listen to the beat and either the lyrics makes sense or not is not our problem... Same goes to our movies... So we are our own problems

murphybo:

Trash article. Advice the Author to organize his own programs to portray morality. Its a business idea of someone and the last time I checked its R18, so you should know what parental control means on your cable TV. We should all stop hypocrisy. Its a show business, how much does cowbell pay for maths competition? A first class graduate was rewarded with 50k sometimes. Let those who organises educational programmes add more value to their brands.

The points spelt out are not entirely out of context,

I think the show needs to be rid of its monopoly,
I saw hundreds of youth applying and wasting there time and energy , all at the end , none was selected.
A better packaged company can rival the BBN/BBA show with the aim of empowerment and give credence to the Nigerian culture.

There was no nudity in the Gulder ultimate show or project Fame, star show (I can't really remember the name of the show again). This is just a pointer to the popular saying that whatever Nigerians touch gets messy at the end of the day. I really want to watch the show, but I don't feel the there is need to , because personally I don't see why I should.
My take on all the things wey I don yarn since be say, make another company profile and organise a better reality show for Nigerians and empower the Nigerian youth based in Nigeria. I swear they will have lots of sponsors.

Tycyborg:
What's so entertaining about it?
Is it their stupid conversations or their scripted lifestyle or places they do go to? It's something I see everyday anywhere I go ... There is nothing entertaining there... It's just a hyped sh*t...I am not a born again but what is wrong is wrong...

it seems like we're saying the same thing Bro... People just want to be entertained with just anything.

And why would a grown man allow his kids watch a program that is clearly rated18+. Do you actually know what R18 is?

What exactly are they practising? Do you think is just sex everyday, just like you are told? They also partake in games that require thinking and being able to function under pressure, and many more.

I watch the show mostly on Saturday nights, after everyone must have gone to bed

oh cos u don't leave in Nigeria shey? Hw mny Nigerians care abt d ratings of a program... yeye dey smile

What does living in Nigeria have to do with your carelessness or nonchalance.

Mr, you can simply use child protection to lock the channel and prevent it, if you can't, either send then to sleep to avoid them seeing it or whatever way you choose. Stop trying so hard to be ignorant. Cheers
