[size=18pt] Rivers ACN Lauds Party’s Triumph [/size]


The Action Congress of Nigeria in Rivers State has lauded what it described as the well-deserved victory of Dr. Kayode Fayemi as governor of Ekiti State.

CAN transitional committee chairman, Uche Okwukwu, said the Court of Appeal judgement has strengthened the party’s belief in the supremacy of the sovereign will of the people and also imposes a task on the ACN to be more vigilant.

“We have confidence in Dr. Fayemi that he will deliver dividends of democracy to the Ekiti people who have shown confidence in him. Once again, we congratulate the people of Ekiti and, finally, we demand that a statue of liberty be constructed in honour of those who lost their lives in this long walk to freedom” said Okwukwu.
